O.K., not great
While two of my three nights at the hotel were fine, one night featured a cockroach in the sink and massive water noise at 3:00 A.M. whoever was running the bath very loudly caused gross looking water to back up into my sink and tub. I had to clean it out as I had to take a shower and leave in the morning.

Convenient location
Needed someplace near the 405 freeway as I had to drive to Santa Clarita area a few times to apt search with my son. The Ramada is just 1 block away (Venice Blvd. exit) and has easy on/off access. Clean, well decorated room. Continental breakfast is included which makes it a very good value. My room was at the back of the hotel so didn't hear any freeway noise. Front desk staff was efficient. I usually stay further north (West LA or the south part of SF Valley) but will definitely consider this location again.

Central location for Restaurants/Bars
Everything was fine with the staff and service, the only complaint would be that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the next rooms in the AM.

Bistro LQ, incredible small French Bistro with a very unique menu. Not the normal over used French Food something really special.

My Hotel in LA!!
Good place to stay. Easy to get everywhere. The staff is invisible (that's good!) They leave you alone. Had a great time.

Not so good
Admittedly, this was a spur of the moment booking, but the hotel was noisy and not very clean. I was awoken by banging in the walls (pipes? other guests?) frequently throughout the night. Although the room itself appeared to be clean, the tub/shower seemed very dirty, mold on the shower curtain, and smelled like dirty feet - so much so that I couldn't get myself to use it.

All in all, it's OK
I had business that required my being at Sony Studios for three days. This motel was very close and compaired to others in this same area, very good.I didn't need the continental breakfast nor the morning newspaper but if I had, they were non exsistant. There are lots of Starbucks in the area and I'm sure many news stands as well.

Got the Job Done.
Close to I-405 which connects to US101 to get to Universal Studios. Close to Santa Monica Blvd to get to Hollywood, Bev Hills, Rodeo Dr., and Vine. Near a great Movie and Dinner place up 405 called the The Bridge/Promenade for Imax/3D/regular movies. The location is good, but the area is a little shady, but it is LA... what do you want me to say? The hotel was not that clean, but it did have a ref/micro setup, coin laundry, free parking (which other hotels don't have around there), breakfast, and internet.
