Front Street Inn

Had what I needed, Wifi, TV, shower and bed. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Great value.

If you are looking for anything more than a bed at night, this is not the place. I was visiting relatives and Front Street Inn was aplace to sleep. It is an older motel that needs some TLC. I can tell they are working on fixing the place up and I give them credit for that. I will stay there again when visiting relatives. Would recommend with expanation.

Orbitz quoted $59 plus tax And under hotel policy it quoted $64.5 due at hotel But I was charged $73 There was a teenage girl at the counter, the daughter of the manager, which said this is online booking fee. I asked to talk to the manager. She said knowing her mom she will not answer during the weekend. The next day I talked to someone else at the front desk and described the quoted email reservation confirmation I had. After 20 minutes some gentleman who was sitting there all the time listening to us was called. He turned out to be the owner. He said he cannot do anything about this. He said this is a common issue with many travelers who stay at his hotel. But he can not do anything about it. I told him he can add this to the text they provide as hotel policy to the web. But he said he will not do that and orbitz should do that. He is simply taking advantage of this issue to get his hotel advertised at a lower than real price and then get customers and hit them with the hidden fee later.

my husband and I stopped in crescent city on our drive up the coast. The motel is in a great location in the little "city" with a three minute walk to the ocean. The room was recently refinished with new carpets. The room had a cleaner odor when we walked in... and when we left.... not sure why it was always there. The two nights we were there the other guests were loud in the mornings with slamming doors, barking dogs, and crushing ice. This may not be something regular. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were average. Make sure you don't stain the towels or you will acure a $25 fine. I will recommend this hotel to someone looking for something cheap and clean.

This hotel was just to pass the night in for us. So, our expectations were low. However, it was satisfactory. Clean bathroom and room.

We have stayed here before and were pleased with the updates they have made to the rooms. The beds were comfy and the shower had so much pressure it felt great. We will stay here again.

We needed a place to stay overnight on a long journey south. Out of all the motels available online, this one seemed the best value for our money. Compared to other motels we stayed at during this trip, this motel was a little worse than average. Barely any amenities, towels were worn, bathroom looked shabby, and the TV was very small and old. The part of town looked a bit shabby, although not necessarily dangerous, and maybe the fact it was a Sunday explained why it was completely deserted. Also, the amount we had to pay was twenty dollars more than what was visible online! Even factoring in taxes and surcharges I feel we got scammed. The one good thing was that it was close to the waterfront park and lighthouse (walking distance) so we got a chance to do some sightseeing.

This was my worst experience !! I reached here late, around 12:40 AM and found that my room was already given to someone else. I was given a room which was already occupied and I had to see nearly naked man before I can sleep!! Although the person behind the counter was quite helpful but he has no idea whats going on and what he can do in this situation. [...] DON'T GO HERE !!
