Just the right place to rest your head.

All I needed was a nice place to rest my head and take a shower I love this hotel. I will most definitely stay here every time I visit Crescent City. The only thing that I didn't like was the door didn't lock so that was a little scary. Besides the room being really clean I really love that my car was able to be parked right in front of my door.

Decent place for decent price

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is decent and I'm satisfied for what I got for the price I paid.

nice enough, even with the ants

This is a clean, well-equipped hotel for the price. Coffee-maker, hair dryer, clean room, fridge and microwave. The staff was nice, the buildings painted in cheerful colors. The only bummer was that there were sugar ants in our room, only a few at first, but then they found something sweet we had and gathered en force during the night on our nightstand. I told the lady at the desk, so hopefully they'll invest in some $2 ant traps and get rid of them. I thought this was a hell of a deal for the off-season price. The Redwood Nat'l Park is just south, and we spent the whole next day there hiking.

Breakfast at Great Harvest Cafe in Crescent City was excellent. It's on 101 South going south from the hotel. Whole grain bread, no trans-fat oils used, real maple syrup, fresh squeezed orange juice!

Econolodge, Crescent City, CA

It was clean, good location, but room for lite breakfast was actually the (small) lobby, with only 3 tables, forcing (unwanted) intimacy at an early hour. Rate was too high for value received, but I don't know what other motels in area charged.

Poor value

You can hear the people on both sides talking - you can hear their tv until 3 in the morning - poor continental breakfast. Dirty Towel still on the rack. Bed springs weren't in good condition, but could make it through the night. The clerk at the front desk was good.

Cheap but not the best

First, I lost in Crescent City because the same street has North and SOuth divisions and staff could not explain that to me. Luckily a woman from another hotel helped me out. The room was smelly. We noticed mold odor once we entered the room. My wife is allergic to mold, so she suffered all night. The hotel might need renovation.
