Nice Surroundings

I wasn't crazy about the all wood/tile flooring, but the hotel itself is very nice and great views. You're in two blocks from a huge mall with upscale stores. My biggest complaint is that wifi wasn't free. Aren't we out of the charge for internet decade now?

Great stay

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it is still an excellent value. The front desk staff is excellent and the room amenities are very good. It is close to the airport and convenient to shops and restaurants. It is only a few blocks from the 405.

A great stay

We stayed for one night while visiting our friends in the area. The room was clean, large, quiet and well furnished. The bathroom was similarly appointed, with a lovely large shower. The lobby areas are nicely laid out and we had heard from our friends that the outdoor area (with large heat lamps) was a great place to relax as well. Having not stayed at a Wyndham before, I can't say if it meets or exceeds the standard of the brand, but it met my expectations easily. In terms of price, the Wyndham seemed reasonable, particularly as I had a credit to apply to the stay, saving me $20. That $20 was then spent on overnight parking ($18), which seemed steep to me, but I don't stay in many hotels in LA to compare that parking charge with. Overall a pleasant stay and met expectations. --- One note, any stay booked through any secondary agent will be ineligible for earning rewards on the Wyndham rewards scheme - something not very clearly spelled out on the application form. I lodged my application at the Wyndham and have still not received registration, after 3 weeks. (though it turns out I don't really want/need it now!)

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Our friends had tried the Wyndham breakfast and recommended we walk over to the Marriott for breakfast instead - apparently better spread of food and better value. We enjoyed a full buffet including fresh waffles & omelettes to order.

Fantastic Business Stay

I was in town for a short business trip. The hotel was very accommodating, friendly, and courteous. The room was exactly what I had reserved so my expectations were met. The staff was informative with policies, rates, and amenities available for guests. Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

The mall is right across the street. Lots of lounge areas for people to visit with you at the Hotel. The office area has everything you would need to print off materials for a meeting so you don't have to bring prints on the plane

Great staff and location

This was my second stay at this hotel and the staff was fantastic however the room was not as nice as my first stay. Beds were not as comfortable and I was able to hear the rowdy party next door. Can't beat the convenient location though!

Local Night in Town

Big disappointment! I work right across the street from this hotel and thought staying here instead of at a competitor (Marriott or Westin) would be a good idea. I had a late night at work and it seemed like a perfect fit. Since I booked this room through a 3rd party travel site I felt like I was penalized. I was given a handicapped-room over the entry-way to the hotel. Yet I booked a room with a balcony. The shower head didn't work which was a disappointment. I asked for a receipt at the front desk and was told that since I booked from a 3rd party travel site, they would need to provide the receipt. The most amazing feature is that the hotel allowed a construction crew to jack-hammer the pavers in front of the hotel at 7am. This was unreal to wake up to this noise at a hotel so early. The only good feature of the stay was the newly renovated lounge, good ambience and service.

Birthday Bash

Stayed here with the family for a birthday week celebration. The room was spacious enough for 4 adults to share it comfortably. Beds were a dream after long days of site seeing!

A Very Nice Hotel

The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room (on the 3rd floor) overlooked an inner courtyard and was nicely decorated. South Coast Plaza is close enough to walk. Only negative is the $17/night self-parking fee. Even though the hotel charges for internet, they do have machines where you can print boarding passes. All together a very pleasant stay.
