Never Will I Go Again!

We had booked our room off of [...] but when we got to the Inn they asked for my card. I assumed they wanted to match the billing. Instead they charged me another $50. When traveling from out of town the last thing you want to do is lose more money while on your trip. When I called the next day the manger was very short with me and told me I'd have to deal with the bank. Our room was completley different than photo's and completly bare. The Tub had stains on it. lights were not working and worste of all there was blood stains on the main cover. Most disgusting things I'd ever seen. If it wasn't for being so late we were going to ditch out on the room and go and book a better place to stay. Never again will we sacrifice money for comfortability. I will not return to another Travel Inn due to the nasty room and manager!

Raggedy, shabby, and disgraceful.

This was by far the shabbiest, out dated, and most dismal hotel room I have ever seen. It had absolutely no redeeming qualities. I only stayed because my money was non-refundable. With the water damage on the ceiling and the musty odor, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there wasn't a mold problem. I strongly suggest that the health department checks the Travel Inn (Chula Vista).[...] A one star rating for the Travel Inn would be overly generous. Only pleasant experience was the friendly desk person and housekeeper.

Never coming back again

The room was smelly. The comforter looked like it was 30 years old. The towels were tiny. The tv was small. The only plus was that there was a mini frig and a coffee machine but we didn't use them because we were in such a rush to get out of there. And thank goodness I didn't see any roaches or rats, just a spider in the shower. We payed 90 dollars for the room but I've stayed places for 60 that were much more comfortable. Never again!

Chula Vista Travel Inn

I was disappointed to say the least in my experience at this hotel. While it is a 2 star hotel, I still did not expect a mattress with springs poking me nor pillows that were lumpier than bad oatmeal. I would not stay here again if it was the last hotel in the San Diego area.

Could have been better

The rooms were not very quiet. I heard the couple in the next room doing...what could have been an adult film until 3 AM. The rate was pretty high for the accomodations. It was a nice get-away to visit with our son.

Travel Inn chula vista

Rooms are clean and the parking is free. Free continental breakfast too. Rooms are old in all aspects and needs urgent remodeling. You can also hear footsteps from above all the time. It was rather expensive. I payed the same price as I did in the Anaheim Hilton because of Comicon in San Diego. This hotel is definitely not worth 100 bucks per night no matter what event is in town... LoL.

You need to specify non-smoking/smoking

I was doing an overnight trip to San Diego and wanted to stay close to the city on a budget. Another budget motel nearby only had a smoking room available. At Travel Inn, the booking options did not show whether the rooms were smoking or non-smoking but I assumed we would get a non-smoking one. Apparently the hotel assumes that if you don't specify non-smoking in the special requests, you want a smoking room. Fortunately, even though we checked in late, we were able to get a non-smoking room. The rooms and sheets seemed a bit dingy, but it suffices. This was a little bit pricier than other budget motels nearby, but hey, it was available with a non-smoking room, even though we were close to not getting one.
