Travel Inn

I was disappointed to say the least in my experience at this hotel. While it is a 2 star hotel, I still did not expect a mattress with springs poking me nor pillows that were lumpier than bad oatmeal. I would not stay here again if it was the last hotel in the San Diego area.

Good experaince, comfortable bed, quiet, lots of resturants and shoping malls close by.

rooms needed some work. found a roach secound day.stuffy smell to room.

Reasonable price for the room. Friendly staff. Clean room. What more can you ask for?

The staff was very helpful and friendly but the location and the rooms were not very comfortable or convenient. The rooms were clean but very plain and bland as i would have thought for the price.

The room was smelly. The comforter looked like it was 30 years old. The towels were tiny. The tv was small. The only plus was that there was a mini frig and a coffee machine but we didn't use them because we were in such a rush to get out of there. And thank goodness I didn't see any roaches or rats, just a spider in the shower. We payed 90 dollars for the room but I've stayed places for 60 that were much more comfortable. Never again!

HOTEL NEEDS TLC, IT HAD A VERY BAD SMELL. THE CARPET, THE BED WERE REALLY NASTY. MY ALERGIES KICKED IN I ITCHED, AND SNEEZED THE NIGHT AWAY. WE LEFT AT 7;OO A.M. JUST TO GET OUT OF THE ENVIRONMENT. WAS AFRAID TO USE THE BATHROOM, AND DID NOT TAKE A SHOWER. THANK GOD IT WAS JUST FOR ONE NIGHT. WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN. THE PICS ARE PHOTO SHOPPED.

When we checked in, the hotel staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and ready when we came in. The walls were very thin so we could here people talking in the other room. The pool and jacuzzi were nice. The location was a bit questionable as to the safety but other than that it was a pleasant experience!

We went to San Diego, to visit Sea World, and were looking for something a little bit outside the city. This was perfect - just a short car ride away from Downtown, and about 20 min to Sea World. There is also a big outlet centre a couple of minutes away - be careful to take the last USA exit though. Otherwise you end up in Mexico! The staff was very friendly, and helpful. It is a great place to stay for one to three nights.

I was doing an overnight trip to San Diego and wanted to stay close to the city on a budget. Another budget motel nearby only had a smoking room available. At Travel Inn, the booking options did not show whether the rooms were smoking or non-smoking but I assumed we would get a non-smoking one. Apparently the hotel assumes that if you don't specify non-smoking in the special requests, you want a smoking room. Fortunately, even though we checked in late, we were able to get a non-smoking room. The rooms and sheets seemed a bit dingy, but it suffices. This was a little bit pricier than other budget motels nearby, but hey, it was available with a non-smoking room, even though we were close to not getting one.
