La Quinta in Chula Vista
The staff was excellent! I was there for medical reasons and I could not have asked for a more supportive, caring staff. They arranged a taxi for me, walked me to my room and made sure I was ok. The room was comfortable, and the locale was good as well. There is a Denny's and a gas station and the highway was close by so getting to and from was close and easy. i had a very good experience and will stay there again.

Smelly non-smoking room
We arrived at the hotel past 9, waited a good 15-20 mins for service at the front desk. When we finally got into our non-smoking room, we had to leave the door propped open to let the smell of smoke out. In the morning when we checked out, the person at the front desk did nothing to accomodate our complaint. If you need a place to spend the night, it'll do. Nothing spectacular though.

Satisfactory Stay
Overall everything was satisfactory. Hotel a bit dated but functioned well. Average size rooms. Shopping centers not located very close. Staff was nice. Difficult with kids and no micro or refrigerator.

great service
We had no trouble with our 2 night stay. My husband called the front desk to ask how to adjust the temp. and our newborn was crying. The front desk called back and asked if we needed a crib for the baby. After checking out and being on the road for a few hours I realized that I had left my phone in the room. We called the front desk and asked them to hold it for us while we tried to make arrangements to have it picked up with some friends still in the area. They took down our info. After trying everyone that was still in town for the wedding and getting nowhere we called the hotel back and asked if there was any way we could have them mail it to us. We gave them our info & credit card info and the lady said that the manager would mail it off. The phone arrived 4 days later, well wrapped. These two events are exactly what good service is- thinking ahead, looking for ways to help, being friendly, and working hard. They've got it down pat at this La Quinta. (The rooms and bathroom were very clean & orderly.)

Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced
This clean, attractive Inn met our needs for a place to stay after attending a wedding. Many motels in Chula Vista can range from downright awful to mediocre, so this was a great find. We would stay there again when our plans take us to the south end of San Diego, or if we want to cross into Mexico at Tijuana. We didn't use the pool, but it looked fine.
