Good Nite Inn Chula Vista - San Diego South Bay

Not long ago, my Mother passed away, and to help my Dad recover from the situation, my Husband and I decided to take Dad from Utah to San Diego and visit the zoo and other places there! It has been since before 9-11 that we have traveled and the new airport security blew us away!! But, we had prearranged for our stay for one room at the Inn through your company, and looked forward to getting settled after a rigorous flight. Our needs and expectations were pleasantly met! The staff was efficient in checking us in, and the room that we rented was immaculate, and we had a great nights rest that night and the subsequent nights. We stayed at the hotel for four nights and experienced San Diego. We felt like it was in a good location for our activities that included traveling north and south on Highway 5. The beds were comfortable. We were in a handicap room for my Husband, and the bathroom was the most spacious handicap bathroom I've experienced in all of our travels to the states of Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Virginia, and South Carolina as well as the country of Mexico. We had actually added a room after the reservations through your company were set, and were able to procure the extra room for four nights for my Dad at just $44 per night just the day before our trip!! His room had 2 queen beds and was very comfortable. Our room also had a fridge which was very useful. Everyday that we were there, our beds were changed and the rooms cleaned, and new towels and soap and shampoo left out for us. We also had samples of toothpaste with a coupon left out for us, too. In addition, the staff helped us locate on the internet (at nor charge) several places that we wanted to visit, and printed our return airline boarding passes (also, at no charge. And, they gave us a discount coupon to a local restaurant. Now, that is excellent service, amenities, location, room comfort, staff attention, and value. I would stay there again. I would recommend it to others. Thank you for the opportunity to write this review because I think Inn deserves extra credit!!!

To be honest, I chose this hotel for its price, however, everything was above the avarage. I even chilled by the pool with my whiskey, full of their perfect-working ice machine :) Thank you for everything.

It was nice. The beach was close. Would recommend to a friend carpet cleaning distracting though.

The location was ok. The price was great!! Except the whole day on sunday and monday though they had to make sure that they could come in at any point for carpet cleaning. I didn't pay for hotel room for three nights to always be wondering when and if they were coming in and of course the one time they decide to come in I was getting ready to leave and made me open the door couldn't even wait till my check out absolutely ridiculous. But other than that it was ok.

The price and location was great, maybe 15 minutes from anywhere you would like to visit in San Diego. The only issue was the pillows, so hard, like bricks. They made for a very bad first nights sleep, we ended up getting cheap pillows from Target to sleep the second night.

It was a long drive to the hotel from LA and I was not expecting anything great, but was I ever wrong. I have been in different hotels everytime we go to SD. And I have to say this has been my favorite so far. It is in a very quite area passing the naval base, the staff was very nice and helpful, next time I come back I am going to stay here again.

The pictures do not paint an accurate story of this place. Our key cards were de-activated multiple times. There were people hanging out and drinking out in the open during the early evening hours. The bed linens, towels and tv need major updates. There was no continental breakfast...just muffins and juice and they were mini muffins at that. There was not free Wi-Fi as advertised you have to pay for it. The hotel is located in a not so good area of town. The front desk needs more people because having only one person is not enough. For the price, go and stay at a Days Inn or any other value hotel...just not this one.

The room was okay. The staff was good enough. The price was great.

its location is nice, its quiet and clean..nice cakes at breakfast..clean and comfortable rooms..the staff is very helpful and kind..great value..

Didn't have hair dryer in the room. The carpet on the room was not very clean. No shampoo or body lotion in the room.
