great stay and close to the water
This was a lovely hotel in a great area. We stayed in the Days Inn chula vista. The room was had a microwave which we found convenient. The beds and pillows were really comfy.The staff were wonderful and helpful...

excellent stay
The hotel is well located, nearby the trolley station which connects with downtown and San Ysidro. The hotel staff is very helpfull. I fully recommend the hotel.

Great Stay!!!
We got to the hotel at 2 a.m., the person at the night window was very friendly and was already expecting our arrival. The room was clean, LCD Tv, 80 channels, Pool, Quiet!!! It was great! We will diffenetly stay there again after we cross the border from Tijuana. Thanks!!!

Waterfront Location......
Stayed here a couple of time last year...came back for THEIR OUTSTANDING SERVICE....ROOMS ARE BRAND NEW...they completely remolded the whole property!!! INCLUDING BRAND NEW JACUZZI SUITES with 32 LCD screen TV's with over 80 channels..... Full hot continental breakfast is what the offer in the morning.... Plenty of restaurants/shops within walking distance. Trolley station is walking distance....which will provide you transportation to and from the San Diego Convention Center Downtown...Petco Park and Gaslamp quarter are just a few spots where the city has its vibes...

Hotel Renovation - Place may be better after work is finished
Took kids to San Diego. Read good reviews & price was low so I booked 3 nights. Wanted a clean room w/heated pool & a decent free breakfast for the kids. Place was being remodeled when we got there. The rooms had already been remodeled. They were clean enough but the heating/cooling unit didn't work so we had to change rooms. The breakfast was cereal, weak coffee, fake OJ & English muffins. The pool was NOT heated; the spa, very dirty. The third day, there was wet cement (no sign) left to set around the spa. Workers started using power tools at 7am. Some of the staff was nice. A couple of guests were drinking in the parking lot. There was free wifi but it cut out often and you had to reboot every time. Most of the issues could be temporary problems so the place may improve when the work is completed.

Joe & Ernie's Pizzeria. Don't care for the TVs but the pizza is really good. Fred's Burgers is great for kids.

Wow! what a beautiful, comfortable room.....
It is refreshing to stay in a hotel room that feels like home. It was large, roomy, clean, and quiet. I will definately stay there again......

Denny's across the street was clean, well maintained and the food was good. And I must say the Taco Bell across the street was the cleanest I have ever been in.....

The Dirty South
The hotel rooms are nice, newly remodeled yet not well kept. Housekeeping is not doing there job! The tub was dirty, we found beer bottle caps in the room. Not a pleasant experience

it was a smoking room, so it smell, likely the lady gave us some kind of airfreshener and it help other then that it was goo.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS
The staff was friendly & accommodating but the room was horrible- the bathroom was filthy with the fixtures falling off the wall, tile broken, toilet ran all night long. Bedding was torn & worn. Walls were dirty & wall paper peeling off. The carpet was filthy. They are in the middle of renovations which is badly needed. This was reviewed as one of the best in its price class, but I just left & booked into the Best Western down the street- much cleaner.
