Vagabond Inn Chico

First room has no A/C. Second room was not made up. Third room was not made up. Fourth room was fine until I was awakened early the next morning to the sound of rain...inside the room. It was flooding from the room above. When I called the front desk they said they called the room above but there was no answer and they couldn't knock on the door as there was a "do not disturb" sign on the door. I checked out. [...] Great deal!

Went there for Halloween for a weekend to see friends and go to the bars. It is what it is cheap downtown with a lot of young people who are staying there while they want to go out. It was nice and clean really easy to walk to the bars. I enjoyed it but if you don't want drunk people around who are going to be loud stay somewhere else.

Frustrating that I reserved a room with one king size bed for my husband and I, but in actuality, I got a room with two double beds. It wasn't fun not being able to move or we'd hit each other if we did try to move. Upon arrival we did not have towels. After 3rd request and 6 hours later we finally received our towels. The noise that was allowed to go on through early morning hours was absolutely unacceptable. Curshing, screaming and fighting all night long. It is true, you get what you pay for. Great price does not mean great room or great service. We won't return.

Great location. A great place to stay if you are visiting friends and have places to be during the day and night, but want a place to rest that isn't a couch. Bathrooms were very clean but with a very noisy ceiling fan. Would visit again based on price, location, biggest drawback was the stiff-as-a-board bed, but what do you except?

The room contained your basic bed and bathroom. No microwave, fridge or any other bells and whistels. The remote to the tv was missing. You could tell there were holes in the wall that were patched up and the bathroom was not much better. I would not step foot in the bathroom without either wearing socks or flip flops. If all you need is a bed to sleep in then this place is fine. Our room was close to the ice machine which meant everytime someone got ice, you would hear it, whether it be 6am or 3am. Great if you want to be downtown and close to the bars and the nightlife!

We just stayed overnight in this hotel. The price could have been brought down a bit considering the condition of the room. There was plaster all over the bathroom walls. It looked like they tried to patch up alot of damage. The room wasn't dirty, just VERY outdated.

This was a last minute trip, chico was busy and the choices were slim for location, but we did not expect the absolutely dirty room, no cont. breakfast and basically disappointing for the everyone. The smell of the room was so bad we kept the room open most of the night and no one was rested the next day! Ever try and have fun with very tired children, it was a difficult to say the least!!

The rooms look run down and well used. Too much money for the grubby conditions.

Near Chico campus, close to diners. Fair price.

location of the hotel to Downtown Chico is what made the experience. otherwise the room was ok.
