Affordable waypoint hotel

I had a wedding to go to in santa Barbara just off of state street and all the hotels in the area were over priced. Seeing as this was less then 10 min. Away it was a great affordable place to stay. The wedding was at 1 but check in was at 3 but the hotel staff was very nice and had the room clean and ready by 12. The staff was very professional and very nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was that there were a couple of things within the room that should be fixed, such as the shower head, and the some of the furniture.

State street Santa Barbara is less than 10 min. Away and has everything. Shopping, bars, night clubs, great dinning, ext. the beach is also very close.

Depressing lack of amenities.

Small room, one bed, two pillows, one dresser holding a television set. No coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, or separate closet area. The bathroom has two towels and a shower that saves water so well that if your hair is thick you need to run a tub of water in order to get the shampoo out of your hair because the stream of water from the shower head is too weak to do that. Although a continental breakfast is advertised, they don't have one. This is an old motel with a very nice front office person. I wouldn't go back.

good price, good location

we were travelling from san francisco to l.a., and stayed at this hotel for one night. compared to the other places where we've stayed so far this was by far the best. the bathroom was clean, the bedroom spacious enough, and although our room faced the freeway the room was quiet because of the good windows. the beach was just a short car drive away (about two minutes), as well were a couple of restaurants. the hotel offered a cheap laundromat service. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the hotel had a pool, but we didn't use it because that was not really clean. other than that i would recommend it to someone staying for one two max. three nights.

Low Cost for a Reason

Nice manager guy, but very run down. There was a huge crack under the room door big enough for small rodents to crawl through. Not the best experience.

Not that Shabby

Just needed a cheap place close to SB. It was clean enough and the staff was nice. The hotel is right on 101, so there is traffic noise, but not unbearable. The pool was clean but the jaccuzi was a little cloudy. Not that shabby.

Cigarette holes in sheets

Towels were small and non-absorbent; TV remote didn't work; sheets had cigarette holes; shabby blankets. Friendly staff. There are much nicer rooms in Montecito for the same price.

Just Say No.

Very low end motel. Poor feeling of security: Door wouldn't deadbolt; Bathroom window could have easily removed. Bad shower and cheap towels. All I CAN say for it is they kept it clean.
