Carmel Trip
For the price we paid, it was perfect. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly. The only thing I wish was offered was some kind of protein at breakfast. Cottage cheese or a hard boiled egg would have been fine.

great location
The hotel may be getting a little run down, but it's location more than made up for that. It's a block away from the Hog's Breath Inn, there was a fireplace in the room, and the evening wine tasting was a nice bonus.

Not Very Good
Front desk lady was very nice and kind, but half of the lights weren't working in the room as well as many others. What I didn't really like was wifi. I was told that wifi was available, but couldn't get signal from where I stayed. I asked front desk and the lady said it should work and I must get really close to window facing the business center in order to the get the signal due to the age of the hotel. It sounded ridiculous, but I tried as I was told anyway, and still had no signal. If things were old and tear, why they don't replace things? Isn't it unfair to leave it and tell people when they actually arrive to stay? I didn't think the room was worth of what I paid for.

Just OK
The location is excellent; with everything in town just a short walk away. The staff was very good: in particular the morning crew who put out a generous [self serve] breakfast. But my room was average to below average. Many little things here and there needed repair or replacement. I do wish they would pay more attention to the condition of the rooms. I paid very little for the room as it was Winter and mid week, so in effect it was worth the price. My experience was "just ok".

Beautiful scene. You feel like being at home. The room is pretty and colorful decorated. Kitchen is fully equipped. Quite a charming and romantic place not far away from the center of the town. White wine and cheese to welcome customers in the evening, before the sunset.

Beach Girl
Nice but worn
I was please with the location, but the room was very worn. Towels were very thin, tile missing and chipped. Needs refurnishing.

Brodys is a little pub just a short walk to the corner. Very friendly. Good food and reasonable price. Like a neighborhood pub. Great place to watch the World Cup. We enjoyed it so much we went twice.

Held to the 3:00 check-in. The price for quality does not hold. No coffee in room. Towels thread bare. Not enough parking.
