Carmel Mission Inn

Used this hotel for a family travel. Convenient location for Carmel. Safeway located across the street. No bathtub, just shower, and was a little cold. Overall good value for the price.

nice but away

Polite staff, clean rooms, beautiful pool and spa...the only correctable problem is hallways with worn carpet and almost-shabby walls and elevators. The distance of 3 miles to Carmel is a small inconvenience, and explains the price.

Two nights in Carmel

Its a short drive to Carmel which is worth a visit and the beach there also. The hotel is well presented and staff are helpful. The pool is shut till mid April due to maintenance. Shops and resturants are local in malls in front and behind Hotel. It was quiet and clean.

Not what we expected!

We were very disappointed. The Inn was very far away from the ocean, not within walking distance of anything but a shopping center across the street.(we have them at home). The room was small, the bathroom didn't have room for my travel kit. The grounds were beautiful. Restaurant was OK, not a lot of choices. The prime rib sat under a heat lamp from 5pm to 8pm, not very good. Very expensive considering the location.
