Comfortable hotel with amazing views of Pacific and free breakfast
Located at the northern edge of San Diego County, the Ramada Carlsbad is a comfortable hotel with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The three-story property is situated just off Interstate 5, only two miles from Legoland. Big Jel
No hot water, poor web connect
toward evening it was time for showers - no hot water. the excuse was they knew there was a problem with the hot water heater that served our room(!) but it was the weekend so no plumber could come. We had to ask for a new room. The room we got was facing I-5! Could this get any worse? Next we had to call because we could not gain wifi connection. It remained very slow and intermittent. Thumbs down.

Better Places Spend a few dollars more
The day I checked in my thoughts I was staying in a good place since it was a Ramada, were shattered. The place is out of date old in need of a makeover. My room had no hot water and I had to change rooms. The Internet connection and computers were terrible took me 30 minutes to get online until I told the clerk I need to get to my email since this was a business trip he let me use one at the desk. The staff was decent helpful but the housekeeping needs a lesson on not to move personal items every day returning my room made up my personal items were always in a different place. The remote vanished twice each time I had to go to the lobby for a new one. The free breakfast weak awful coffee bulk pastries do i yourself waffles and cereal.. If I paid 25-40 more I could of gone to a much better updated place. Oh and at the time of my stay they were gutting rooms so wires, hoses, a very small slow elevator that was on its way out. Avoid spend a bit more go somewhere else.

great price! clean hotel!
had a pleasant stay! the staff was nice and the room was clean. continental BF was yummy! make your own waffles and a cereal bar with a coffee area and pastriest :) will be coming back :)

Just an overnighter, but this was a great location, since it is a short drive to the ocean, and very close to many restaurants. A good breakfast is provided and the pool ,though I did not use it, looked very inviting!

Close to the ocean, in an area where there are not many sunbathers (but a hike down to the shore is required). Drive on down the main drag and you'll find more open area beaches and the downtown uniqueness of Carlsbad.

Wyndham rewards
the staff said we cannot register our Wyndham rewards number because we booked through Orbitz. Why ? If I booked direct with Ramada, it was the same rate.

Great Location..
Well at first I thought the rate was way too high when I booked it. However we promised my 5 yr old son that he was going to go to Legoland this summer and I wanted to surprise him. Ok so it was the right price for the 2 bdroom suite we ended up getting. It's a great location to Legoland and restaurants, etc. The only negative was the breakfast. It was awful. So after the first morning we decided to go out for a much better breakfast. I would definitively stay there again and just eat out.

Not Happy with Ramada
Smelly Hotel
Breakfast was so so, service was OK. The rooms were old and the worst part was that it felt dirty. Even though it says no pet allowed, the room smelled bad. It was also very near to the freeway so it's loud. The pool was dirty.

Don't stay here.
Room was very plain. Next to I-5, very noisy. In suite, bedroom had rinky-dink cooling unit that did not work well. Pull-out bed in living room would have made good torture device. Only good thing was free breakfast and friendly employees, and within walking distance of beaches. Would definitely not stay here again.

Ate at Ko-Kos in Carlsbad. Great ribs. Old fashioned place with great staff.
