Motel 6 Carlsbad South CA

If you are looking for affordable and convenient this motel does the job. I would have loved to stay during the warm months to take advantage of what appeared to be a nice pool. The rooms were average, but on par with the price. There was a mixup with the wifi, website stating that it was included when there is really a charge. However, they acknowledged the confusion & comped the fee which was very appreciated.

Good room away from the traffic on the highway. Had everything I needed

The room was clean and well taken care of. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great! You are a 5 minute walk to the beach and a ten minute drive to LegoLand. I would recommend this Motel 6 to any one who wants a great location and is on a budget. The price was amazing for what we received.

We only used the room to sleep but the location was perfect. Really close to legoland,beach and restaurants. Something we were afraid of. Loved it!!!!

Beds were only full size. Coffee only in am no food for breakfast.

This is very close to Legoland. We got three rooms and after a fun and tiring day at Legoland we just want to go back to our room and relax. It was 7:30pm and one of our rooms was not even made/cleaned. So, my brother and sister in-law ended up sleeping on unmade beds. The rooms are okay but I suggest that after cleaning it should be sprayed with air freshner. I went to the store to buy an air freshner, because we couldn't stand the smell of the rooms. The bathroom doors don't have any locks at all. This is very incovenient for us to put a blocker on the door to make sure nobody opens it while you're doing your thing. Ice machine always runs out of ice. They have 2 but only one working. Considering that they don't have refrigerator, these ice machines shld be in full force. Well overall it is a 2 star for me.

Located right off the freeway, couple of blocks from the beach. Room was a bit small for one adult and two kids but we managed. Not enough tv/cable channels to chose from. Pool was ok, kids loved it. Beds were good.

The mattress crushed down to the bedsprings under the weight of an average sized adult male. The mattress was probably as old as the hotel. The walls are paper thin. There were people in the parking lot grilling with their personal bbq devices. That said, the location is good for getting to the beach or Legoland. The strangest thing is everything else around the hotel is rather upscale but this place is like the black hole in the middle. Only stay here if you need a place to rest your head and you plan to be out and about for the vast majority of your trip.

Just your basic room. Bed very uncomfortable. Room was always had a "damp" feeling. Had to call several times and go down to the office to get some towels. Had to use wash cloth to plug bath tub to take bath, had no stopper. Overflowing trash bins on the property. One small trash bin in the room. Just very basic, very bare necessity.

Absolutly terrible. And the fact that we ended up paying $230 for two nights makes it even worse. The toilet seat was completely broken off. The one blanket was so scratchy I didn't want to touch it. The bed was so uncomortable i had to take sleepnig pills both nights just to fall asleep. No water pressure in the sink, had to use the shower just to wash my hands. The towels were thin, rough, and tiny. Over all, I feel robbed. I will NEVER stay at a motel 6 again!
