Exceptional Family Vacation
My family was in town for a mini reunion and to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday. My wife, and my brother and his family, all came in from out of state and extended family traveled down from Northern CA for the weekend. We had a very busy weekend and every single member of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Carlsbad made everything about our stay amazing! My wife and I, and my brother and his family (wife and two young) kids, had a beautiful, two bedroom suite that included a kitchen, two bathrooms and tons of space. We stayed for four days and three nights and had one of the best hotel stays ever. Our room also came with an outstanding complimentary breakfast (full) every morning. My wife is VERY picky about hotels and this usually makes it difficult for us to book an out-of-town hotel stay. She was just blown away with the immaculate condition of the hotel, the wonderful customer service, the friendliness of every staff member we encountered, the convenience of the hotel's location, and the overall exceptional experience we just had. We will stay here every time we are in town!

Great value!
We stayed an extra night because kids were enjoying themselves so much. Pool and hottub, included breakfast, and so close to LegoLand! Highly recommend!

Legoland minivaccationer
Great for families visiting Legoland
This is the 3rd time we've stayed here for a short weekend getaway at Legoland. Even though we only live about an hour and a half away, staying at a hotel allows us to get 2 days in at Legoland without having to make the drive home and it feels like a little mini-vacation.Our stay started off with the supervisor telling us that our double Queen bed room had already been sold because they had overbooked for the weekend. He was very apologetic and immediately offered us a free room at our next stay. I appreciated the fact that the supervisor, [...], acknowledged the situation, and offered to make amends without me having to complain or make a stink. This is how a hotel earns repeat business and good referrals!Our family was offered a King bed and a crib and we were reminded that there is a sofa sleeper in the room. We all slept comfortable without any issues.The rooms are clean, nicely furnished, have 2 flatscreen TV's (one in the bedroom suite and one in the main area) and the full kitchen with stove, microwave, and fridge are very helpful especially with kids. Breakfast (self-serve) is provided every morning and the spread is pretty generous with hot breakfast entrees, belgium waffles, coffee, juice, yogurt, etc...Despite not getting the exact room we had booked, this hotel is an excellent deal and is highly recommended due to the customer service, cleanliness, and comfort for a hotel of this level.

Clean & Friendly
Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Included breakfast was better than normal and they even included a lite evening meal. It would be great for families on a budget.
