Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Near Legoland

Just departed Vegas now in San Diego area to stay a couple nights and visit Lego Land. There is four in my family including a 1.5 yr old that sleeps in a pack n play and a 12 yr old. The room they gave me was very large, looked like the rooms and motel had recently been upgraded; it had all the modern goods in the room and the outside was in perfect/clean condition. I just stayed three nights in Treasure Island a four star hotel in Vegas and I was more impressed by this place. Probably because of the size of the room ( really appriciate that when you have a big family in one room) but also that is was very nice. It had a microwave (great when you have kids) and a refridge great for dads beer lol). My nights it was very quiet even for the other guests since my son had some good nights. Parking is packed I did not see an extra spot at night. Over all if I am in the area again I will book at this place.

I-5 traffic noise is a constant din, but not loud enough to disrupt sleep. Could smell an aroma of cooked ethnic food in motel office, but room was clean and odor free. Complimentary breakfast area was cramped and inconvenient.

This was a nice and cheap hotel. The only major down side is all the noise from the traffic. You will be able to hear it all night long. Other than that very nice staff.

we r two sisters coming from Egypt to have a vacation and to visit my daughter who studies in CA, the hotel is good location for everywhere u need to go..the premium mall, the westfield mall, the highway to SD, the high way to LA, lobby smells like curry all the time and is very small but it is ok as long as u dont have to stay there for long :)..the breakfast room is ok but they need to make some changes in the breakfast items, we spent 9 days eating the same cold boiled egg and cereals but it is ok for the money u pay ..

I booked this room b/c I was staying for a marathon. Staff was friendly (although office smelled of celery or curry or something.) Room was very clean, comfy bed (I bring my own pillow so I can't comment on those). If you need to sleep in a super quiet atmosphere this probably isn't the place to stay. It's right along the freeway so you can here it and it's pretty loud but that is expected when you stay next to a freeway. The towels were super super soft and THEN I found 4 long black hairs on my body after I dried myself off after a shower. I was completely grossed out. I then inspected the other three towels and the towel I chose was the only one with hair on it. The wash cloth also looked as if it was used and then re-hung. It had this blackish or light brown film on it. I didn't use it. Other than the towel situation, the place was ok. I'd stay here again but inspect the towels before use.

Room was very spacious and clean. Shower head was actually high enough for my 6'1" height. Continental breakfast was average. My only real complaint was the noise factor - the hotel is situated right next to I-5, which seems to always be very busy. The highway noise was loud inside the room, even with door and windows completely shut.

Staff is attentive and thoughtful. Upgraded my room for free. Room was stylish and sophisticated, and included large flat screen TV. Breakfast is basic, so plan on having a full meal elsewhere. **Must bring earplugs to sleep!** I requested a room in the back of the lot, and still the traffic from the highway was LOUD.

It was a betterroom than I expected for the price. Breakfast had waffles that you make and something hot makes it better.

Did well with my visit at EconoLodge in Carlsbad. Room very clean, shower hot. The only thing was adjusting the AC. It was too cool with it on low. So it definitely works. :)

I had a great time at this hotel. The staff was really nice and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
