Weekend GetAway
Hotel was extremely close to the freeway which was across the street. Thank goodness their rooms were soundproof and no freeway noise came in. [...] The beds were very very comfortable and we slept great. Didn't take advantage of the breakfast they offered free but it was more than continental, had waffles I heard.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Strolling at all the shops between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand was great. Validucci's is the best Italian restaurant I've been to in ages. Delicious lunch, great shopping botiques, very fun and relaxing. Solano Beach is just a few exits south and we enjoyed our day shopping at Cedros Shops.

Bring Your Ear Plugs!
Check-in was fast, plenty of parking and easy to find location. The hotel is across the street from the 5 Freeway and there's no getting around the noise, even with ear plugs. Our room was located on the first floor adjacent to the pool and we could hear every movement from all of our neighbors. The bed was lumpy and hard to sleep on. The bathroom had upgraded marble counter tops and a large tub/shower combo. Breakfast was a BIG let down! There was no meat, sugary cereals, (over cooked) hard-boiled eggs and an awkward eating room. There was a flat screen tv in our room, but we had to ask for two new remotes to change the channel and even then the remote stopped working. The in-room fridge is a good size which was nice. There's a Rite Aid and Vons across the street from the corner gas station, but you won't see it until you're in the parking lot. the hotel provided "crib" is more like a bassinet and our eighteen month child was too big for. We ended up having our child sleeping in the bed with us, which was cramped even for a "king-sized" bed. Luckily we only had a one-night stay, but for the price we just dealt with the issues. We would only recommend staying here if you have a short stay and if you bring ear plugs.

Buy your own food, drinks, plates/cups and utensils. The front desk isn't very helpful with directions, so bring a local area map to make sure you don't get lost.

Very loud freeway noise
The facility is surrounded by a security fence, but the gates are left open. We weren't sure how that added any security. The room was large and nice. The pool was small but warm. It was very convenient to the freeway, but no dining options very close.

Not so good stay!
I arrived at 1:30 PM, 30 minutes before check in and i was reminded 4 times by the front desk clerk how inconvenient I was and that they needed time to have the room clean even before he checked if the room was ready. it ended up being ready so his comments were unnecessary

Freeway hotel
The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. The freeway is very noisy and constant. It should have cost about $80 not $120.

San Diego or Bust
Arrived late due to 6 hour delay from San Diego Airport. The staff at hotel held my rooom for me! A great comfort in that. Enjoyed the bed and soft pillows.

Nice hotel but way too close to
Nice hotel but way too close to freeway. The road noise is almost unbearable unless you get a room in the back.
