Carlsbad by the Sea Resort

If you, like us, are headed out to the beach and Legoland, it really doesn't get any better. The location is fantastic, the ammenities are really great, the staff are incredibly nice. The walls are a bit thin and the matresses could be better, but overall, this resort (for the price) is great!

We had a great experience. Everything was great. The only problems were that we had a had time located the hotel because the entrance is not on the street of the address. The location was perfect. It was close to shopping the beach and restaurants. We were disappointed in the breakfast.

Good location but hotel needs some serious renovations. Convenient shuttle (van) to Legoland and average continental breakfast.

It's very nice for family tour,especially legoland. This hotel provide free shuttle to legoland. And also free breakfast, free internet, free parking. Walking distance to outlet.

The location, decor, staff, and amenities were outstanding. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends.

30 minute drive to San Diego, perfect location and close to the ocean.

Here for 4 day business trip. Best part of this hotel was the location. Easy freeway access, lots of places to eat and shop that are near by. Rooms inside were updated enough but exterior of hotel and basic building was truly OLD. Also, got put on 2nd floor and there is NO elevator. I have my foot in a cast and had to lug my suitcase up a flight of stairs not to mention I had to get myself up and down the stairs each day. I did was unaware they did not have an elevator so I didn't know to ask for a bottom room at check in. Once we discovered the problem the staff did not offer to move me to an easy access room ;( they just said sorry. All in all it was still a good room for the price I paid. Just wish staff would have gone the extra mile to help me while I was in a cast up to my knee.

Great value.Nice comfy bed.Good inroom coffee and nice to have fridge. Bonus to have breakfast included. Was convenient and good choices for the money. Did not use pool area,bit seemed nice enough.Would definetely come back again

Near Legoland and had a shuttle which helped. Nice pool, rooms sufficient - had frig, micro and coffee maker! My only complaint is that the coffee wasn't too good in room or for breakfast but there was a Starbucks across the road!! We were located near the back and the sliding door and patio looked out onto a lovely grassy area with a gazebo and lovely trees - our 4 year old had such fun running around the grass with other kids. Breakfast was generous. We used the attached restaurant (TGIF?)twice and were satisfied - kid friendly and convenient since we were tired out from Legoland. Most of all the lovely woman at the desk was very patient withme when I kept asking for directions over and over and calling from Legolnd before I knew where the pick up area was. Everyone at the desk area was patient and gracious and the shuttle drivers pleasant and friendly. (there may be a wait for the shuttle but not long)I would go back there in a minute and recommend it to anyone, especially with kids and location near Legoland. Orbitz gave me a good deal on the price too. Very satisfied.

We had a good experience at this resort. Staff was friendly & helpful. The hot breakfast was decent & convenient. The bed was very comfortable and room was clean. We also did some shopping at the outlets, which we walked to across the street. The only we would've changed was that there were no elevators.
