Beach Terrace Inn

It was a wonderful room. The beds were very comfortable. The walk-in shower was great. Bathrobes were provided--NICE. The weather was beautiful. Great restaurants within walking distance. We'll definitely return--possibly next February for our wedding anniversary.

You can't get any closer to the ocean in this oceanfront room. Great view; great feeling of being connected to the waves rolling in. The room was clean and well maintained. Both the room and the bathroom were quite spacious. The continental breakfast was the only area that could be improved. Otherwise, a great stay!

I started out looking at hotels in San Diego, but a convention there forced me to look North. I didn't know anything about the geography of the area, so I didn't know there is a spectacular continuous beach from Carlsbad to Oceanside. But now I do, and I'm glad I found it! The Beach Terrace Inn is located in the prefect spot. Steps away from the ocean, with a great view and the sound of the waves. And within a few blocks of the Carlsbad Village shopping and dining area. The room was larger than expected, and nicely appointed and clean. The cold breakfast bar had lots of fruit along with juice, bread, cereal, and pastries. A great way to start the day. My only complaints were the low flow faucets and shower and hard water, but hey its Southern California, it should be a desert wasteland. And the lack of a spare T paper roll and tissue paper box (the last morning they both ran out just as we left - that was almost a problem - instead of just an irritation).

My wife and I had a beautiful view, a very large room, and a first class bathroom. I appreciated a modern stall shower instead of a tub-shower. Location allowed walks into the village for meals. I should have taken my own pillow, however.

Nice hotel. Location was great. A bit frustrated with the staff's inability to schedule routine maintenance to occur during the day, when everyone is awake! Also took issue with the fact that I couldn't park two vehicles in the empty parking lot. I was told I would be towed for parking my second car in the hotel's lot, even though there were only 3 other cars in the 20+ space lot. Parking outside of the hotel's lot is hit or miss as this is a beach front street.

The Beach Terrace Inn in Carlsbad, California is a nice hotel. The check in process was good, although I was asked numerous times how many people will be staying in the room. They upgraded my room to a oversized ocean view room, I couldn't of asked for more. The morning continental breakfast was alright. Your typical bagel, cereal, fruit bar. The hostess at the continental breakfast was sweet. Check out was fast, the front desk clerk already had my receipt ready for me when I walked into the lobby.

What a nice place to stay!! Beautiful location on the beach. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. I highly recommend.
