Located between Santa Barbara & Los Angeles. We are a Gateway to Channel Islands as well as a frequent stop for all Coast travelers. We offer complimentary wine tasting between the hours of 1700-1900. Ronald Regan library close by. A variety of food and 3 shopping centers within 3 miles of hotel.

Dirty Property

The property was filthy with abundant cigarette butts and trash. Breakfast had nothing healthy.

Lost the vision!

This hotel is not easy to find! It is outdated and boring. I'm not sure a massive renovation would be good because no one seems to care! I've been to other Quality Inns and this is far inferior to the others. Everything is old. Also there very few people there but we were still on the top floor at the back. This place needs help!

I will stay somewhere else next time

Three positive things: easy to find, parking is good, the room was clean. Now for the negative: it seemed there is only one person at the desk the whole time. When we checked in, he didn't even direct us where to go to get upstairs. In the room, everything was comfortable, but there are only 10 tv channels. The TVs are old. No coffee maker in the room, but they had everything else to make coffee, that was strange. The complimentary continental breakfast, we didn't expect much, but the coffee was finished and it took so long for them to bring more coffee, we watched a lot of unhappy guests leave. Finally we left too, we went out to buy coffee. One last note: the pool seemed dirty.

Worst Getaway Hotel.

By far this is one of the worst hotels I have spend the night in. The bathroom was dirty, overall if it wasnt for me packing clorox wipes I wouldn't have been able to clean it up myself. The TV turned off on my fiance and I when we were trying to watch it and it wouldnt turn back on. I understand I got the last of the rooms available but the staff really needs to step it up and clean up before the people staying there check in.

Maintenance Issue not address.

During my stay there was not hot water in the room for showers. No effort was made to notify me of the condition and no effort was made to fix the situation. When I asked about the problem they advice me that no refund or discount could be give. Unprofessional customer service and poor problem solutions.

Below-Average Hotel Stay

First of all, hotels should inform you if their utilities are going to be turned off before they take your credit card. I went to check in for one night's stay and was informed AFTER they took my payments that their electricity would be shut-off from 9am-3pm on Saturday. Since we just needed a place to rest for the night I did not bother to cancel & try to book elsewhere at the last minute. Secondly, the hotel is need of updating/renovation. The tile on some steps are chipping at the edges and not on only unsightly but a fall hazard. The noise from the freeway can be heard as it is just across the way. If you don't like the view of a freeway then you can choose a view of a semi-truck & trailer parking lot or rows upon rows of white plastic tarps covering a farm across the street. I am not sure if it was the room itself or if it was the farming next door but the smell of pesticide is noticeable for sensitive noses. They do offer a hot breakfast but be warned that the dining room is actually a section of the registration lobby so it gets very chaotic. The plus to the hotel is that it is not difficult to find given the proximity to the freeway and just down the street you will find an outlet mall, grocery stores, etc.

Stay away

Stayed here using ChoiceRewards points (so no cash outlay), and feel like we wasted 20,000 points on this place. The room (a 'business suite') was awkwardly designed (the couch was on the same wall as the TV, the door opened towards the wall) and even though it's relatively new, it looks like it was decorated from other Quality Inns that were being refurbished. There was a big tear in the couch cover, and you could tell that the pad under the carpet only covered about a 10' x 10' area right by the front door. When we checked in, we were given a room that faced the 101 freeway. I asked if we could get a different room away from the noise, and the desk clerk seemed unable to comprehend what I was talking about. Oh, and the wifi is about as weak as they could make it, and there were only 12 channels on the TV. Ugh.

Camarillo Outlet Stores are nearby. Unfortunately, during our visit (Nov 2011), the frontage road from the hotel to there was torn up so you had to contend with the traffic on the 101.

Horribble stay

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family 7-15 to 7-17, 2011. I was in the area for my monthly weekend reserve duty. We arrived at the room and immediately could see how run down the hotel was. The beds were sagging in the middle and very low to the ground. When you laid on them they squeaked very badly. One of the bedspreads had writing all over it like someone's kids got a hold of a pen and scribbled away. The first night was tolerable however not great. I had to get up early the next day and did not have the patience to go somewhere else. The second night we stayed we did spend sometime in the hot tub and later went to bed. When we woke up the next day there were ants all over our clothes, my uniforms and our personal belongings. I was late for drill because I had to shake the ants out of my uniform. My family had to soak our clothes in water to kill the ants and shake them out before we could pack anything. We notified the front desk and asked for a refund. They stated it would be difficult because we pre-paid [...] and management was not on the premises to approve. I filled out a form and they instructed me to follow up with management. [...]
