How was Days Inn, Camarillo - Ventura?
This hotel was clean and safe and quiet. Perfect for family travel. You can walk one minute from the property's front entrance to a Marie Callendar"s. Continuing further down from there, there is a Trader Joe's. A short way up/down the freeway, one minute off of the offramp for the CSU, Channel Islands campus, but going the opposite direction from the college off of the freeway, you turn right and there are some shops, like a Jack In The Box, well, the place you want to grab a bite is SNAPPER JACK'S, just a minute across the small street from Jack In The Box. THE HOTEL DID FAIL TO SEND THROUGH MY WAKE UP CALL. I ALSO USED THEIR ALARM CLOCK AS A BACK UP; IT NEVER WENT OFF. IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR OUR SETTING A CELL PHONE ALARM CLOCK AS WELL, OUR DAY WOULD HAVE BEEN RUINED. OVERALL THOUGH, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, JUST EMPHASIZE THAT "YOUR FRIEND NEVER GOT HER WAKE UP CALL WHEN SHE STAYED HERE" in hopes that they might be extra diligent about getting one to you. OH Yeah, AND the mattress and perfect number of pillows were great.

Short drive from hotel
YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE all the different views at different angles from all over both sides of the freeway and down many different roads, of the many beautiful green hills. The best aspect of these hills are the awe-inspiring rock outcroppings "growing" out of the hills at different levels. Take a camera!

Decent Hotel
If you want a decent hotel at a reasonable price, the Days Inn Camarillo isn't bad. The location is close to the 101 Freeway, and within walking distance of several restaurants. Our room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was average but adequate. The only negative thing about our stay was that the ice machine right outside our room made quite a bit of noise.

It is hard to find a hotel this nice and this close to the beach area. We looked. It is a short drive, but nice one, to go to the beach. A large Outlet Mall is about one mile away.
