you pay for what you get

It was a family fun trip and I reserved the hotel based on the review and price. The location was great but the hotel is really old. Room was clean but I could not pass the smell of the mold, outdated decor and furnishing. The room was good for what we had paid for but I will not staty there again.

Camarillo Stay

Non smoking room, had very strong cigarrette smell. Staff was courteous enough to spray deodorizer (helped alittle). Due to hotel being fully booked ........had to stay put.

Business overnight/with husband

First of all, the hotel is no longer associated with a hotel chain mentioned in a travel book. Receptionists very casually dressed- no uniform, not professional in demeanor. It is privately owned and in bad need of repair and renovation. In the first room assigned, the heater was damaged and did not produce heat. We asked to change rooms. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off, no night light in the bathroom, lighting in the bedroom was poor. Only one bar of soap. The window which was made to open wouldn't budge and the wood framing around the window appeared to have dry rot. No butter for toast. Maids were gracious in extending my husband more time in the room while I was away at a business meeting. At check out, the receipt showed a credit card number that was not mine and a billing that was less than quoted by the travel agent, with no explanation that it was the travel agent's charge number. I had to call today to learn the reason for the 3313 number. Person at the desk was inefficient in locating the billing. I would NEVER go back or recommend this hotel to friends.

not a 3* hotel

checking in was lightning fast, and the location is great. Right off the freeway, but the rooms/windows/towels/bathroom and walls were all dirty. white towels were off white at best. Floors, corners and door knobs were dirty and gross. I'm not even a germaphobe or anything. We were pretty much in and out anyhow, but It's cleanliness needed some work...big time.

Pleasant Stay

Great value for money on our trip from Santa Monica to Pismo Beach. Hotel room was clean a surpassingly quite in the night, despite of its proximity to 101. The best deal was freshly cooked complementary breakfast with hashed potatoes and sausages.

Great overnight stop

Staff was very friendly and checkin was quick and easy. Breakfast meal was fresh and tasty. Would recommend that when staying there, request a room that faces away from freeway as sound wall has not been added. Traffic noise was tolerable, but not ideal for light sleepers.
