Enjoyable
My stay at the Comfort Inn Calistoga, Hot Springs of the West was quite enjoyable for the time stayed. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. However, it was obvious they had done some painting in the room because a long strip of painter's tape was noticeable along the ceiling. Upon closer inspection, the entertainment furniture was also damaged and the bath robes given were well used and frayed. Other than that, it was quite and enjoyable trip and the complimentary breakfast were sustainably abundant. I wouldn't mind going back. ^_^

Basko's is a delicious Italian restaurant for those visiting the area. Also the Castello di Amorosa is a stunning castle with decadent wines to sample from.

Great place to stay
Had a very nice time there. The pool was very nice as well as the hot tub. Breakfast was the best I have experenced. Good selections. I will come back soon. Staff was polite and helpful.

In comparison to other hotels up the street, this hotel is the best value with the free breakfast. rooms are clean, comfortable and beds are awesome!

Good for the price
This is a clean tidy place for a night or two of sleep. Everything works, our room was clean, not spacious, but certainly adequate. The building might be vulnerable to heavy walking people (drunks n' idiots) but we were on the second floor. Staff were very polite and friendly.

Oat Mine Hill Trail was a minute walk away. A nice trail. Downtown in a 10 minute walk.

From what we saw through the windows the rooms looked fine. We never made it that far. We were checking in and the lovely girl helping us said " The pool should be warm, we have been warming it all day". My husband and I booked the hotel so we could soak in the naturally heated mineral spring pool the stated they had. I even checked with them prior to arrival and they said yes it is heated. So off we go to look at the pool and hot tub. Neither were even what we would call warm, infact the "hot" tub was colder thatn the pool. Also the pool had scum all over the top, needless to say we went back to the desk and they did not argue about a refund. Do not advertise a heated pool an dhot tub when it is dirty and cool. We learned our lesson back to the hotels we know are clean and have warm/hot pools.

Better than most!
Upon check-in staff was helpful and accommodating advising us of the local places to eat and enjoy. Room was comfortable and the bed was great! Prices up in the Napa Valley can be outrageous for what you get. This was no "bargain" by any means however it can't be beat for what's available in the area.

The Silverado Brewery 3.8 miles south of Calistoga is a great place to eat. All the local's go there.

Comrtable and beautiful surroundings
This is a nice, quiet, comfortable place to lay your head or just relax yet it is very close to all of the major attractions of this area and easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again on future visits.
