Tangerine Hotel

I booked this hotel as part of a package deal (and because the location was perfect), but noticed there were some comments about whether it was worth the price. I would have to agree that, in looking at the regular rates, it was somewhat pricey for what was offered. For that price, I would expect some kind of hot breakfast offering, rather than cold pastries in the morning. Otherwise, it was fine. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and best of all, quiet. Somewhat amazing, given the fact it's right on the very busy Riverside Drive and not too far from CA 134. Parking was convenient, too. I didn't use the pool (I really didn't have time, plus the weather was cool), but it looked clean and well-maintained. To sum up: Nice, comfortable, quiet room; very friendly staff, but somewhat high in price for what was offered. Still, given the convenience to my activities, I'd stay there again.

I stayed here for a week, and it was great. There's only a couple of vending machines, so plan accordingly :-)

Nice and clean rooms, friendly service. Although the hotel doesn't serve a real breakfast, a lot of good options are nearby. The heighbouthood seemed safe. There is a lot of traffic into LA in the morning, but it is a great starting location to visit LA and the surrounding cities without paying too much for a hotel.

I picked this hotel because of the price and the location. I was attending a taping of the Ellen show and wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance of the studio. The staff was friendly and warm. The room was small but cozy and very very clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean as well. The neighborhood is a safe place for a single traveler like myself to explore and there is a bus stop right out side which is the most affordable way to get around , I even took the bus to airport when it was time to leave. I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is a converted motel that was no doubt built many years ago. They have upgraded with nice beds and decor to give you that boutique feel. Staff was very nice and welcoming. We were most impressed with how quiet the hotel was, even with neighbors in their rooms we heard nothing! We will stay here again. Restaurants are in walking distance.

Very clean comfy rooms. Flat screen RV, New bath fixtures. Surprisingly quiet for a first floor busy city motel.

I had tickets for the Ellen show and this hotel was in the perfect location for a quick and easy walk, less than 15 minutes. Close to everything. Nice pool, clean room w/ even an ironing board!!! I was impressed w/the comfort and the quietness. I would use the hotel again if I needed to,!!

Starting with finding the place. It is located in Toluca Lake, not Burbank. There is no direct exit from the freeway to the street it is on, which is a street that changes numbers and direction. The staff was difficult to reach, taking more than 20 calls before giving us incorrect directions. What should have taken 10 minutes required an hour and , please, I am not that stupid. Even after finding it, there was some further difficulty the following day coming back from Santa Clarita. Again , the front desk was unresponsive. This is a former cheap motel with small rooms that have been nicely remodeled, but were not very comfortable. 30 rooms and 18 parking space

I arrived at the property at 10pm and went stright to bed after checking in. The clerk was courteous although I waited at the front desk for 5 inutes while he finished some admin task. This property is an old converted motel with limited facilities. The room was very simple. The bed was very comfortable.

Friendly reception, clean and in walking neighborhood.
