Tangerine Hotel

My wife and I stayed 1 night and were very pleased with this hotel. Nice area,very clean , easy freeway access and a great Mexican bar and grill next door. Great coffee machine with nice pasteries in the morning.

Every cute and clean hotel. Was really impressed by how clean the room and premises was. The staff was really friendly. The bed was not that comfortable. But a great place to stay for the price.

Hotel faces a busy street that never seems to quiet down. Close the window..room get stuffy..open the window..it gets really cold very fast!! All the chairs were leather material that covered slightly padded bases..needs some recliners in the room or a love seat if used by a couple. My refrigerator ran all of the time and sounded like a droning hum that made it difficult to sleep. It would have been nice to have sheets and a blanket on the bed. Cement floor in the bathroom was clean but cold when walking on it with bare feet; bathtub had to be stepped up into to clear the side of it. Bed was nice but not extremely comfortable. Overall not a good $$ value...!!

The hotel was your basic clean, pleasant stay. The tub and shower were recently redone and there was good water pressure (always nice)! The breakfast pastries and coffee were upgraded, but other than that, nothing really special.

I booked this hotel as part of a package deal (and because the location was perfect), but noticed there were some comments about whether it was worth the price. I would have to agree that, in looking at the regular rates, it was somewhat pricey for what was offered. For that price, I would expect some kind of hot breakfast offering, rather than cold pastries in the morning. Otherwise, it was fine. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and best of all, quiet. Somewhat amazing, given the fact it's right on the very busy Riverside Drive and not too far from CA 134. Parking was convenient, too. I didn't use the pool (I really didn't have time, plus the weather was cool), but it looked clean and well-maintained. To sum up: Nice, comfortable, quiet room; very friendly staff, but somewhat high in price for what was offered. Still, given the convenience to my activities, I'd stay there again.

I stayed here for a week, and it was great. There's only a couple of vending machines, so plan accordingly :-)

Nice and clean rooms, friendly service. Although the hotel doesn't serve a real breakfast, a lot of good options are nearby. The heighbouthood seemed safe. There is a lot of traffic into LA in the morning, but it is a great starting location to visit LA and the surrounding cities without paying too much for a hotel.

I picked this hotel because of the price and the location. I was attending a taping of the Ellen show and wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance of the studio. The staff was friendly and warm. The room was small but cozy and very very clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean as well. The neighborhood is a safe place for a single traveler like myself to explore and there is a bus stop right out side which is the most affordable way to get around , I even took the bus to airport when it was time to leave. I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is a converted motel that was no doubt built many years ago. They have upgraded with nice beds and decor to give you that boutique feel. Staff was very nice and welcoming. We were most impressed with how quiet the hotel was, even with neighbors in their rooms we heard nothing! We will stay here again. Restaurants are in walking distance.

Very clean comfy rooms. Flat screen RV, New bath fixtures. Surprisingly quiet for a first floor busy city motel.
