Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport

We booked several rooms for a high school reunion. We were promised the hotel would attempt to put the rooms on the same floor. They weren't. We had to change rooms b/c the rooms smelled of mildew. The keycards didn't work. There was rarely parking in front of the hotel due to three black Benzes that were taking up space...

When one hears the name Marriott, the term upper class and style come to mind. The Burbank Airport Marriott is a very attractive facility. It sits right next to the convention center across the street from the airport. For its location, the room was absent of airplane and convention activity noise. Observations - We were not advised of bed options available at time of check-in and wound up with 2 double beds. The beds were as soft as marshmallows, very uncomfortable. - The air conditioner is located in the room and was very loud with a vibration that could be felt. Thermostatically controlled, the fan speed could not be adjusted. - As a room for the handicapped, access was OK. The shower/bathtub did not have a non-skid surface or a mat that could be used to prevent slipping. - When inquiring about the availability of a beverage vending machine, we were told that there was one at the end of the hall. The only thing found was an ice machine. When we called to explain the finding, we were told that the vending machines were on the odd-numbered floors; we were on the 8th floor. - Primary entry point is off Hollywood Way. Desk clerk advised to leave room keys at the gate. No key drop-off on Hollywood Way exit. Had to go to Empire St. entry to leave keys with gate security. Will find another place to stay the next time we're in town to see my mom.

It was a very nice clean place. The air conditioning quit working twice while I was there, no que-tips, the elevator didn't quite work right all the time and the ice machine was very noisy... Employees were extremely nice and tried to fix things quickly. Just a few things that didn't work quite right. Nice people not so nice equipment.

IT WAS A BIG AND NICE PLACE TO STAY AT BUT IT WOULD HAD BEEN NICE TO HAD KNOWN IT WAS LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO AN AIRPORT. I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPOINTED WITH THE PARKING $15.00 PER. DAY PARKING FEE. I BELIEVE MARRIOTT SHOULD BE MORE SPECIFIC ABOUT THEIR LOCATION AND MENTION EXTRA FEES FOR PARKING ON THEIR PAGE ON ORBITS.COM. **by the way my room was DUSTY INCLUDING THE BED SHEETS** OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A NICE PLACE TO STAY AT.

The room was great after we got assigned to a 2nd room. The first room that was given to us had someones belongings. We had to go back to the lobby and get another room. We were given a bigger room for the trouble. When we got to the room, showered, the drain was clogged. The water took forever to drain. The location of the hotel is near the airport, it can be loud as airplanes fly by. As we checked out, I was charged twice. I paid for our room on Cheaptickets.com, which where I paid already. Got into an argument with people at Marriott over the phone, finally spoke to a manager, when the first employee refused that anything was going to happen. Supervisor at the front desk fixed the problems in minutes.

overall, i liked the hotel. The rooms were big enough and clean, flat-screen tv and the shower provided a good spray. the bathroom did lack a ventilator though. when i requested a hotel directory, the staff came immediately with one. the staff overall was friendly and answered all our questions knowledgeably. the fitness center is very modern and impressive and provided water. the negatives would include the cleanliness of the hallways. there was food left near our door for a full day. the floors need to be shampooed. the hotel staff elevator needs to be more properly labeled so guests don't accidentally enter and get lost. i did call the front desk around 10pm one night and nobody answered after repeated call attempts. parking in the lots can fill up quickly and may not be adequate enough for all guests.

The location was convenient to the airport but I would have rather been closer to the things that I wanted to do. The airport access was not needed as I can get airline boarding passes online. The parking at this hotel was $14 per night and it was hard to find as the lot was crammed with cars. If I would have stayed near Universal Studios I could have free parking and easily accessed a freeway to go to the two other places I wanted to go. The WiFi in the hotel was only in one area and that area only had a couple of electrical outlets. There was hard wired access in the rooms for the computer but you had to pay to use the hotels wire.

We were disappointed. The money we spent on the upgraded room was not worth it. Need free WI FI. Need more staff that understands and speaks better English.

not a bad location by distance but traffic getting there consistently sucks so had to say bad location for commuting anywhere in LA. They don't include in the [...] pricing the mandatory parking fee of $14 per day and for a hotel which bills itself as being for business conventions, they should throw in the internet as well but instead they charge $12 per day so basically you're looking at a 25% markup over [...] pricing. TV channels all sucked and the room was small but the bed was quite good. Other than those items, it's extremely clean and otherwise would be great.

Hotel and room were very nice, though there was a slightly musty smell present in the room (not so much that it was a problem, but noticable)
