Very Bad Experience
This hotel cannot be compared with Best Western/Marriot Courtyard but yes may be Travelodge or Comfort Inn. With 2 kids we were not provided with 2 Queen size beds and had to be content with a King Size bed. Not sure what the Hotel staff was doing while checking us in. No Parking in the hotel, you have to pay $30 and the staff will park it somewhere I dont know.

Not as pretty as it looks in the picture
Only Valet Parking available which cost a lot. You can park on the street at your own risk. The rooms are clean and things are brand new. Rooms are small. I would rate this hotel as 3.5 stars.

Our Experience
The hotel had a great location. It was very close to WB Studios in Burbank and the Burbank airport. The hotel claims to have a car that will bring you where you want to go, however it is first come first serve and the car does not operate until about 6:30 or 7 am so if you have an early flight plan on paying for a taxi (about $20 to the Burbank airport). [...]We ended up getting a two double bed deluxe room (smaller) when we paid for a superior room (larger). There is a drug store and grocery store across from the hotel which is a nice bonus in case of midnight munchies or lost baggage. Friendly staff. Beautiful lobby. Room had a couple issues...broken toilet seat, lamps by bed did not work, heat never kicked in. Otherwise quiet and comfortable.

Here are the PROS and CONS of this hotel
We are a family of 4. Stayed here because it had rooms available on a short notice and was close to Universal Studios. Had room 402, top floor. PROS: Location - a few miles from Universal studios theme park and Warner Brotherās studios is almost walking distance from the hotel. Neighborhood was very nice, with grocery store and restaurants directly across the street. It was located in a residential area, which made it less noisy. Room - Great T.V. Big spacious room, new carpet (new carpet in entire hotel) and new granite bathroom sink area and bar area. Staff - Very nice and accommodating. Hotel - Can tell it was newly renovated. Nice lobby. CONS: Parking - You will shell out $30.00 for valet parking whether you want it or not. No self-parking available Shower - Oops, Someone forgot to renovate the shower. Pink and black mold very visible in the WHITE grout. Very easy fix too, just spray BLEACH on it and walk away....geez! Beds - Although they were comfortable they were SMALL!!! They were very small "FULL" mattresses. This didnāt make sense (besides saving the hotel big $$) because the room was more than big enough to accommodate 2 queen beds. Two adults together will not sleep well on them, small kids do okay. Pricey snack bar in room ā They have snacks and a stocked fridge in the room for purchase. Just make sure your little one doesnāt open the fridge and have a feast. My daughter opened the gummy bears before I could explain they were not complimentary and that cost me $5.50 + tax. No Pool ā They do have a spa on the top floor though. Didnāt see it, so all I can say is they have one. However, the front office clerk did say they were in the process of adding a pool. Would I stay here again, maybe, if I got a good rate. I liked the location.

Despite internal rivalry over the Rose Bowl game, we all enjoyed a few days at this Burbank Hotel. Location is convenient to both freeways and to park/ride for light rail. Convenient for tours of Hollywood neighborhoods and movie studios. Good restaurants in area.

Just Okay
We were originally placed in an upgraded room but it was directly above the exercise room. We were rudely awakened twice at 6 AM to the thump-thump-thump of runners on treadmills. Don't stay in room 241!!! On the third day, the staff moved us after we complained, to a suite on the other side of the hotel. It was nice enough, but I noted that a small tissue scrap on the floor in the corner of the bathroom stayed put for three days, which led me to wonder about the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel looks great and the rooms are spacious, but the overall experience was just average.

Luxury & Affordable: LOVED OUR STAY!
It was our 1st year anniversary! To celebrate our weekend, we drove straight to Universal Studios and had a whole day of fun, fun, fun! Then at dinner time, we headed for our hotel stay. I'll have to say we were quite nervous about our hotel stay because we had had so many recent hotel stays that were just unpleasant and even raunchy! I guess you get what you pay for! You see, we don't get the privilege to stay at luxury hotels because it's always about the money. However, this time for the first time, we were determined to stay somewhere nice for once, so we saved our money for one nice hotel stay. We work too darn hard in this world to stay in a raunchy hotel again! We would have to agree that our stay was the best we have ever stayed in our adult lives if you could believe. And we are 34! It was better than the Tropicana in Las Vegas that my fiance's employer paid for and better than the grand hotel my employer had us stay in San Diego: both of which we did not have to pay for! My favorite part of Hotel Amarano Burbank were the minty colors of choice. It gave the room a new vigor and cleanliness that I really hold of high importance. Everything was spotless. I especially loved the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion, magnified mirror and 7ft to 8ft by 4 ft mirror for a woman's grooming convenience! It was the first time I did not use my own, since I am extremely picky with this kind of thing. My fiance's favorite item in the hotel was the 46 inch flat screen LG TV with a Panasonic DVD (electronic details complimentary to my fiance). This deluxe hotel with a King is perfect for the couple in love! The mini kitchen made it very nice for me to make my hunny breakfast in the morning, since we had brought so much food for the trip. I'm glad we did. Continental breakfast just doesn't do the job for us. We had a very romantic and tasty dinner at Smokehouse just down the street and had left over steak and boiled eggs as well as freshly cut veggies and fruit, blueberry muffins, and freshly brewed coffee. The freshly brewed coffee was provided by the hotel. If you really have some cash to spend, there was basically a fridge full of a variety of liquor for the alcohol drinker as well as some assorted candies, but we didn't get any of that. But what a convenience! The bed was extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed the two sliding doors I could open in the morning or late at night to allow some fresh air in the room. I found it nice to be able to sit at the desk to plan out our day in downtown LA and Venice Beach. I especially love the check out time of NOON! I'm so used to 11:00am and rushing to get out. The only thing that caught me by surprise was the parking. I had no idea that I wasn't going to be able to park my own car. It is all Valet parking. I kept thinking, "Oh gosh, another expense that I did not expect!" Sure enough, a little over $31 a day for Valet parking! I really wish this would change! Customers should really be able to have other parking options. And the Valet men stand there for a tip: sad thing is, I don't carry cash, so I hope they didn't think I was rude when I didn't tip. Although I loved this hotel stay and I would stay here again, I do plan on checking other hotels and their accommodations as far as parking and their pricing before I book or just save extra money to accommodate this parking cost. Despite the parking expense, we really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed at least one more day, since we didn't even get the chance to enjoy the spa!
