Quality Inn Santa Ynez Valley

Very good value for the money. Rooms are nice and clean. Short distance to Solvang and Santa Barbara.

This hotel is good if you just need a place to stay while touring around the area. All hotels in the Solvang area are pricey, so if you plan on being out of your room for the most part, this place is good. The rooms are adequate to what is needed, but not anything more than that. The breakfast provided is pretty good though.

This motel has no pool, no spa, rooms are small, motel right next to freeway - we heard every truck that passed. Bed was not a Queen, as advertised, couldn't sleep. Walls around the toilet had old coffee and food splatters. For over a $100. it should have been better!

Based on previous reviews I expected to have a more positive experience. I'm not terribly picky but I do have expectations (namely cleanliness and comfort) when I spend this amount on a 2 star inn. The room had coffee spills on the walls and the comforter needed a wash. As for comfort, I could feel all the coils in the mattress and the pillows we describe as 4 nuggets (we kept falling off because they were so small and very high). Also, we felt as if we were staying under the kitchen (very possible) because there were footsteps above us all night long. We were in room 112. Being so close to the freeway was noisy but convenient. We closed the window and turned on the A/C and we were fine but without it we could hear cars especially big rigs.

We arrived late and exhausted from the drive. It was a quick check in and the Concierge was nice. We were there for two nights. We requested extra towels, shampoo and conditioners. He gave it to us right away. I expected the next day. He gave us a quick rundown of breakfast hours and what time the next person is taking over his shift. The room was clean. The room had a little kitchen area with fridge, microwave, and hot plates. It was cute. Our room was on the main floor right next to the entrance of the hotel. I expected noise from people coming in and out, but none whatsoever!!! We did have a heavy walker upstairs on our last night there. They have a very good breakfast selection. Cereal, bagels, danishes, sausages, hard boil eggs, bacon, and fresh waffles. mmmm... waffles were great!! The hostesses kept the area really clean and very attentive with refilling the coffee pots and clean our tables. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would stay here again. It's right off the 101 freeway, which makes it really convenient and there is a liquor store across the street. Thumbs up for Quality Inn!!!

I was up for the Solvang Century (100 mile bike ride). The hotel was about as expected for the price. Clean with friendly staff. Easy check-in. Basic TV. Noisy wall A/C-heater. They have a great breakfast and the waffle maker rocked. We were only a few minutes from Solvang's city center at a much lower price than at most of the lodging in Solvang itself. There was a mostly empty sit down Mexican place across the street and south a bit that was empty but had really good food/service at a low price. Only downside for me is I would have liked a hot tub (Jacuzzi) and the walls are thin. You don't want a noisy neighbor. Again, if you aren' spending a ton of time in the room, a good place to stay at a reasonable price (in comparison).

We had an immediate party to attend to. The inn was just what we needed to retreat after the party. Can't compare for the reasonable price. Breakfast was good.

The Inn looks better on the inside than the outside. The rooms are pretty clean and have the normal amenities. Breakfast selection is a step above continental. The Inn is extremely close to several different tourist locations in the Valley. The staff were nice and allowed us lay check out because we arrived late the night before.

The room was fine, the staff was very pleasant, and the breakfast was good. Two problems: the highway noise (if that sort of thing bothers you, and if your room faces the highway), and the heater didn't work (not a factor except for rare cold nights, like the 39 degree one I was there).
