Excellent choice on the fly
Former SA gal Nov 18, 2009
A very good choice of hotel to accomodate our exhausted jet-lagged bodies after a 22 hour flight from South Africa. Easily ... located, with friendly, welcoming staff. Beautiful quiet room with a very comfortable bed. Would have appreciated one more pillow on the bed though, but since we spent most of our time in dreamland, we didn't even think to ask for one. Incredible friendly and helpful staff right through our two day stay. A nice plus for us was the 24/7 access to the internet/printing in the business area. Definately recommended and will choose to stay there when we visit SFO again.

This airport hotel has a climate control system that is designed to go off when the room is unoccupied. Unfortunately, it ... also goes off when you are asleep. I awoke several times in the night freezing. Couldn't disable it. Also the alarm clock was left with the alarm on, and it roused me out of a sound sleep at midnight! The hotel clerk did not even apologize for this. She just said that she would have maintenance go reset the alarm after I left. Airplane noise moderate.

The phone system would start ringing at 5 or 5:30 am for a wake up that was suppose to be at 8 am and everytime you got back ... to sleep it would ring again.. This happened 4 or 5 times.. Then at 7 or 7:30 am the Fire Alarm went off.. and rang and rang and rang until the fire dept finally got their about 8:30 am It was really bad.....

Disappointing departure
chris Oct 19, 2009
Situated by the Bay but not great views of the bay. Really isolated with no dinning nearby other than the hotel restaurant. ... We ate there and food was okay and not too pricey. We chose this for the "number comfort bed"...but our bed was anything but. It must be an old room. It had the old coloured bedspreds and yellowed lamp shades. Velux blankets had seen better days and sheets on one of the beds were a little questionable. Room was a good size but it sure didn't look like the picture on the website with the fresh white duvet. Staff okay but not cheery. Shuttle service was great and less than 10 minutes to airport. 25 mins to SF. It was the last night before our return home so a little disappointed and would stay at a different airport hotel next time.

Clean but don't plan to sleep in!
Geo Oct 8, 2009
We were on vacation & I wanted to find a place close to Downtown but didn't want to pay outrageous parking fees. The hotel ... was nice & clean & we were planning on sleeping in but being woken up & 7:30 AM by landscapers with leaf blowers & power mowers was not in the plan & we were on the 5th floor. My wife also complained about the Jets flying over the hotel & I must say I did hear 1 or 2 during the night. We did have dinner at the hotel one night & we both enjoyed our meal but wear a jacket because the AC was cranked up & seemed to be blowing right on us. The staff was more than helpful. They claim to be "Bayview" & they are but you are looking over a construction site or in our case between a couple multi-story office buildings & over a freeway ramp.

Giantsfan! Oct 2, 2009
The hotel was great we went there to see the giants play and the hotel was 10 mins away from at&t park. the rooms were great ... came with a frige without a request for it to!. the pool and hot tube was a nice add and room service was good and on time to. the restaurant was ok not a big selection on the menu and they change the menu on the weekends but the bar was good and the staff was great. you get two good views of the bay or the san bruno mountains depending on what side your room is on. this hotel now has a repeat customer on there hands.

Weekend Adventurer Aug 25, 2009
We were in San Francisco for the weekend for a little sightseeing. We wanted to stay somewhere right outside the city, ... within a short driving distance where we would not have to pay for parking or worry about the city traffic. The Radisson was definitely very convenient, only about 5-10 mins from downtown depending on traffic. Other than that it was not very impressive. The beds were about as hard as the floor and the bedding was older than me. The shower curtain was moldy and there was a leak in the bathroom but we were not there long enough to worry about it. The room itself was clean, but it did smell like smoke even though we requested a non-smoking room. The fridge and microwave are convenient for a longer stay. There are no restaurants or even a gas station in the surrounding area so make sure you eat before going back to the hotel unless you want to try their food, I didn't want to take a chance. Its a good place to stay if you are going to be out all day and don't care that your bed is hard as a rock. Staff was friendly.

We chose the Radisson because it was close to Candlestick Stadium, it was a great location. Staff was friendly and very ... helpful; they allowed us to check in early and printed out directions to near by restaurants. The room was great stayed in the executive floor the view was great and the beds are very comfortable. Have no complaints will definitely be returning next game.

It's 7 miles to downtown San Francisco. We chose this hotel, because of the close distance to major points of interest and NO ... parking fee. You know, some hotels charge up to 50$ for parking. So within the good experience within this hotel (> ****) we had a wonderful time.

happy camper Aug 12, 2009
I was really impressed with the front desk staff. We arrived very early for the check in and were in much need of some rest ... and a shower. The hotel was booked the night before, but they told us to return in a short time. After some breakfast we came back and they had a room for us. What a life saver, thanks so much Ray and the rest of the staff.

When in San Francisco, bring WARM clothing as it can be really cold there even in the middle of summer. Napa valley is awesome to go to - the Redwood room at the Clift is an experience in itself - very cool. Scomas at fishermens whart has the best seafood in town and for shopping for clothing, go to Ambience. You won't be disappointed - a lot of designer names for really good prices.

Hotel's restaurant is not bad but there is NOTHING else in the area to eat, so plan ahead if you don't want the hotel fare. Rooms had a little fridge and microwave so self-help is possible. Hotel is in a little office park and there is nothing nearby except office buildings and industrial plants.
