Quiet and Cozy Stay for Ski Trip

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our adult son and what we liked was that it was very quiet which is very important when you want to be rested for skiing. The room had a separate living area with a big sofa and a big love seat that was very comfortable, a small kitchenette and a large fire place that burned real wood (not included in the price of the room). The beds were comfortable, however, they said they had a queen size sleeper sofa for my son but the mattress was a pad of springs, no way possible to sleep on that thing. If they had told us to bring an extra pad to put on top of it, it might have worked. My son ended up sleeping on the sofa instead. Also, the heater made a clicking noise all night long, so anyone sleeping in the living room kept awaking up to that. The lady at the front desk was not very nice when we called on our way up asking a couple of questions. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and got a good deal for what we paid for.

Couple vacay

The hotel was very cute and cozy! Lovely fireplace and comfy beds and nice showers. The staff was friendly. The location is prime! A block from the village and 10 minutes from bear mountain and walking distance from the lake. Would definitly stay here again if I don't stay in a cabin. Just be sure to bring your own shower supplies, not the best. But I would Recommend to everyone who wants to stay in big bear for a great price.

Worst hotel ever

The hotel staff was really rude, the room was smelly everything seems really old restrooms were not clean and toilet never stopped making noises, really cold because heater could not keep up and wind was coming in through the door because there is not insulation, the maid came to do the cleaning and when we came back everything was the same way we left it, that made me think about it before we came in( was the room cleaned recently? So I decided to leave one day before I did not wanted to stay there any more.

Great Trip!

This hotel was great! Was within walking distance to the business district and there are coffee shops and restaurants very near by. The hotel itself is right off the main drag and within a mile of snow summit. The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer...
