Manager was very insulting and intrusive
While I was there I was constantly bombarded by the manager over the card on file. Note: The account had plenty of money in it at all times. They swiped my card at checkin and kept harassing me about wanting to authorize again and again... All I wanted was a drink by the time this was all over. They were very rude to my guests, and ended up billing me for nonsense.

it could be better
the hotel has rather good location, but when we get into the room shower did not work - we had to call maintenance, furniture is damaged and there are a lot of scratches on the floor. Not Beverly Hills style!

Great Service at a Great Hotel!
It's true that the rooms at the Thompson are small, but the location, staff, and value make up for the size of the room. The rooftop bar has amazing views--the best in Beverly Hills! And, the location is just perfect. You can walk around Bev Hills, or drive to any of the main hotspots within minutes. And if you want to go out drinking at night and leave the car behind, the cab ride to WeHo is under $10! By the end of the stay, most staff knew my name, and were always friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Nightlife is a short cab ride away. Leave the car in valet and take a cab to avoid parking fees and/or being towed.

Very Enjoyable Stay
Front desk staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. During your stay they put a $100/day hold on your account for incidentals (I stayed 3 days and therefore $300 hold). Seeing as I used my debit card, they were very helpful the day I checked out in expediting the process with my bank to get the funds released. New restaurant 'Caulfield's' was spectacular. Great service and great food. ABH was a little subdued when I went, but it was also a Saturday night in December and it was a little cold out. I will stay here again on my next trip to LA.
