Beautiful, Historic Hotel
The Claremont is everything it's brochures say it is. Gracious, friendly and beautiful. Rooms and baths are modern and clean. My wife loved the spa and pool. Dining is particularly good. Every meal we had was excellent. As you might expect an excellent wine list.

Room with poor view.
Parking difficult and costly. Charge for resort amenities, even if you don't intend to use any. Total extra charge is $48/per day which is resort fee and parking. Valet parking is included but we didn't use it. Extremely noisy music in lower part of hotel at night. Hotel is quite elegant. One of the poorest breakfasts at high price we ever had. After additives above, I don't know whether this was a good bargain or not.

Didn't like extra charges
The hotel was lovely and the accomodations excellent. My only issue was that there was a facility charge that I had to pay directly to the hotel. However, I did not use the facilities as I was on business and had no time. Between the facilities charge, the facilities charge tax and the parking, I had to pay an additinal $103 which actually ended up not saving me any money [...].

Great location and classy facility
Set my wife up at the Claremont as she was accompanying our daughter to a local art school. She felt the hotel was just great from the facility to the service to the food. Was within easy walk distance to local shops and restaurants and Peet's coffee. One thing that she said would have been nice would be a small coffee stand where one can grab a quick cup to go. Only options were the restaurant or room service.
