good location. very clean. internet, cable, hot generous breakfast, water bottles daily. comfy bed. the staff very gracious. when i come to berkeley again i will definitely stay there.....good value. loved having my own fridge in the room. space a little tight.

East Coaster
Good value
If you're just using your room to sleep, then this has everything you need. It's clean and compact (very small room). I wasn't a fan of having a first-floor room that was open to the outside (all rooms are open to the outside), but the neighborhood seemed safe, so it was ok. Easy walk to the Berkeley campus; the location worked well. Hotel staff wasn't especially helpful or welcoming though.

Decent place. I liked it
Just a nice place if you want a good hotel to sleep and lounge in the room. No Frills , no gimicks. The free hot breakfast was decent. Would come here again.

There is a great Thai soup restaurant we found a few blocks down which is open late.

Proud Berkeley Mom
Great stay near UC Berkeley!
Went for my son's graduation and some extra days for sightseeing. The hotel is at walking distance from the University and of great dinning places. Less than two blocks away there's a Trader Joe's which was great because the hotel room had a small fridge and microwave oven. The hotel's free wi-fi and continental breakfast completed our great stay. We'll definitly be staying there when we come back to see our son.

the carpet of the room wan very dirty.
the carpeting was so dirty that you could not walk on it without your shoes on. Between the shower and the bed my feet had turned black of dirt. The carpets need to be shampooed much more often

Perfect for a weekend getaway
This is the perfect place for a quick weekend stay. Room is quite modern and stylish. Enjoyed dish network in the room. Liked the fact that breakfast is served until 10pm unlike most other establishments and if you're really not an early riser, there's a coffee maker in the room! Overall pretty clean other than a pile of toilet paper sitting in the toilet.... And the pillow cases seemed a bit wrinkled which made us a bit nervous. But we always carry our own blankets just in case!
