Great Location for Business Travel
Walking distance to numerous restaurants, well kept facility, staff is friendly. The only downside is that I booked a smoking room and this is a Non Smoking facility. The breakfast was very good and diverse, something for everyone in the family. I would definitely stay there again!

Many ethnic restaurants within 1 to 2 blocks of the hotel. I had wonderful experiences at every one that I tried.

Great and clean suite
We stayed in their suite for a bachelorette party! It slept 6 of us girls comfortably and had a kitchen and lots of space!!!! Ide go back!

Decent for the price
There's a lot of 2-star motels in the neighborhood, I think this HIE is a step above all of them. It was clean, quite, up-to-date, housekeeping was decent. Only two complaints - the included free breakfast was pretty gross overcooked omelets and over-sugary everything else. Don't plan on being able to get a healthy start to your day eating here. The other complaint is that the free wireless internet was spotty at times.

ok for a night
the hotel was ok at first glance but if you turned on the lights and looked housekeeping was not really on top of things. Nobody wants to see a dirty floor and tub in the bathroom, its just makes you wonder about every thing else form the towels to the bedding.I've stayed in better and I've stayed in worse

Great Hotel
The hotel in general was great though a little pricey. It is relatively easy to get to from the freeway or surface streets. There was ample parking and relatively easy to get in and out from though at times getting out took a little waiting because of traffic, but other drivers would eventually let you in. The hotel is close to the Berkeley campus and stores/shopping including the 4th street shops. Perhaps the only negative is the hotel doesn't have a restaurant (there is room service) so late evening arrivals may not have many choices and it doesn't seem safe to walk around the area at night. During the day it seems OK to walk around the area.

Short drive from hotel
If arriving late, there is Jack-in-the-Box drive through open within a couple of blocks from the hotel. Most restaurants in the area close by 10:00 PM.

Overpriced moderatelyok hotel
This was a typical Holiday Inn express - typically somewhat overpriced.... They are doing a renovation; rooms are nice
