Great location

Great location. Walked across the street for dinner and when we came back we decided to soak our feet in the hot tub. After about 10 minutes my husband noticed cockroaches floating in the tub. Ugh! Other than that the room was okay, breakfast not worth bothering.

Great for the money

The first room they put me in smelled like smoke so they upgraded me to a better room (Jaccuzi). I was traveling without my family so it was fine for me. There is no way my wife would have been happy staying at that hotel.

"Comfortably situated"

The hotel was centrally located in a good area. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Room size was good. The added benefit of having a refrigerator and microwave was great.

Good Value Stay

The Rodeway Inn and Suites was a fine place to stay for the mid-range cost. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board in the room and when I called to borrow one from the front desk the staff said they had all been checked out but did not offer any indication of when one would be available--They just check them out, it seems, and don't ask people to bring them back asap. Also didn't offer to see if the borrowed ones were done being used. Other than that, the stay was very pleasant.

In Before Dark

Hotel staff was great, room was fine, but once it was dark, the gates were locked and there was only one way to get upstairs to our room. You needed your room key and needed approval from the security guard. We almost did not get past the security guard! We were unadvised of the security detail for night hours. It left us with a very unsecure feeling, especially with our vehicles downstairs.

Not EZ to find

There is another, more prominent street named Chester, so even many locals can't help. I don't know how to improve it other than maybe raise the height of the signage. A very nice place and a great value for the money.

Not Customer Friendly/Knowledgeable

The clecks at the desk were not very friendly at check-in. Any questions about the area and the clecks were somewhat perplexed about what to do in the area. I asked how to get to the local college and the staff could not tell me how to get to the University. I went to the local restaurant and they gave me great directions. I rented two rooms, letting the front edesk know that my 20 year old daughter would be coming in late. She would be in the room next to mine and that she would need directions to the room. When my daughter arrived, she was told I wasn't at this location. She called me on the phone and then I gave her directions to the room. The breakfast in the morings consisted of toast and a juice (grape). There were some stale rolls. Overall I was not impressed with the accomdations. Overall this was not the location I thought that it was going to be, I was a little unhappy. Rooms were clean and cleaning staff was very nice and polite.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Several nice places to eat just a short drive from the hotel. There is a fast food place in the parking lot.
