Needs Work
The hotel looks nice from outside and the pool area looked very nice.... BUT our room needed some work! It was in shaby condition, with issues. First, the room smelled really bad from cigarette smoke, (even though it was not a smoking room). It was so bad that even our Clothing smelled like smoke when we left! ugh!! The room door would not close unless you yanked on it and forceably shut it- something was defintely broke in the hinges, and the TV was very old and had issues with the volume going in and out. PLUS the next morning we had NO HOT WATER for our shower. Called the front desk and they said maintenance was fixing it... we could not wait- so had to take POLAR Showers! AWFUL- (and they did not offer any discount for the this major issue!!) PLUS they had signs up in the bathroom about taking towels and the Breakfast area said you could not even take a cup of COFFEE with you out of the area! Do they have that many problems at this hotel that they treat everyone like theives? I would expect this at a 1 star hotel..not a 3 star! When in Bakersfield again, I would not stay in this hotel! Spend the extra $20 for the Hilton across the street!

Just OK
This hotel is just OK. Used to be the Red Lion. Keep in mind that they allow pets which may be an issue for some. Additionally, during my visit the hotel seemed to have numerous laborers and young immature couples. Room was fairly clean. Bed was comfortable. 2.5 stars

Great Time!
I travel to bakersfield all the time for business. I will always stay at the Hotel Rosedale. Comforatable and affordable. The "BULL SHED" restaurant next door is AWESOME! Great food, especially the burger and you have to ride the bull!!!!

Great All Around Service
On a road trip recently, my husband and I stayed overnight at Hotel Rosedale. Not only did this hotel provide all the comforts of home, but it had an exceptional restaurant located on the premises called The Bullshed. Great hotel and restaurant staff, great food and other amenities. We will book any future hotel reservations here on our way through for those very reasons!

Nice Hotel

very nice room

Don't bother
Reserved thuough Orbits - They didn't have my reservation. They where going to give me a room that was still undergoing renovation. When I objected - they finally gave me a room that was unclean. - dog smell, carpet was filthy, and bathroom floor unclean, linens were threadbare. This was the second unpleasent stay at this location.
