Nice hotel, not the best neighborhood
Nice lobby, regular self-serve hot breakfast. The room was very nice, good beds, large HD tv, and the bathroom was good. Shower had rain-type disk overhead plus 6 jets down the length. We would stay here again.

We ate two meals next door at Zingo's Cafe. Meals were mediocre, even the waitress had opinions on the food...Next time we'd take the car and drive 2-3 blocks to Dennys.

Nice Motel
The hotel was well kept and had a very comfortable bed. The heating/air con unit worked well and was quiet. The manager was kind enough to move his car so we could park in front where it could be seen from the reception desk as we had bikes on the car. Breakfast is not included but there is a little restaurant attached to the hotel where you can purchase sandwiches, latte etc.

Comfy, quiet, refined.
Engineering work/operations training school near Taft. Air travel into Bakersfield was a disaster [...]. An exquisite shower followed by a perfect landing on the pillow top bed smoothed some of the irritation. I'll stay here the next time I'm in town, and hope the air trip is better.

Best in Bakersfield!
Great family owned hotel. Perfect (business) combination: Great Bed, Great PLASMA TV, large bathroom, nice desk/work area. Personal bar, very nice entry area and well located in the market.

Something about the Hotel and its location makes it unlively, but i guess that could be a good thing for some people. I have stayed at other Hotels in Bakersfield and they just appear to be more alive and happening, this place was dead, but then again it is Bakersfield, what do you expect.

Sandrinis in Downtown, for a drink, or Club Odyssey at the marriot to party. Also check out the band Velorio when youre in Bakersfield.

Awesome!
Totally surprised by this hotel! got a great deal on it, so thought it was going to be a dud, but didn't care much as we were only there for one night as we were driving back to SF from SD. The hotel was great! the rooms were spacious, the beds were 100% comfortable, the shower was superb, the place was very clean! I mean what more can you ask? Didn't see Bakersfield at all - so have no idea how the location compares to other hotels in the area - but it was perfect for us!

Nice business hotel, no free breakfast?
The rooms were very nice and comfortable, but they don't offer free breakfast or coffee like many other places I've stayed. Not that this is a deal breaker, but be aware of this if you book a reservation here.

I had the Suite, it was ok. There was a dieing cockroach on the bathroom floor, and there was cobwebs all over the room.

beautiful room, bad service
This hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to get away from the city life for a day. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. However, if your planning on sleeping in don't expect to have your room cleaned. Turns out the maids only clean rooms around 9am so our room wasn't cleaned during our stay.
