this is an excellent hotel! Only complaint was that the onsite restaraunt was closed due to computer problems. Hotel offered room service for dinner from a near by restaraunt but did not offer a complimentary breakfast to make up for not having the onsite available.

Central location, extremely reasonable
I had a great time at this hotel. It's in a very reasonable section of Bakersfield, only about a 7-10 min drive from Cal State Bakersfield. It's surrounded by restaurants and stores galore, with a wide variety of tastes. The hotel location itself, is not spectacular, there aren't any beautiful landscapes to speak of, it's surrounded by several other hotels of similar good quality. The hotel has an exercise/weight room, several exercise machines of the elliptical-type, and a Jacuzzi, and a heated pool. The room was spacious, bed was firm, but comfortable, the TV was decent, and the room was very quiet. The breakfast tasted great, but I was a little confused about exactly how it worked. Some items were complimentary and other hot items were not, and there was a single all you can eat buffet price. I paid for the buffet one day, and didn't eat the next day because I was out and about. Overall, great hotel

Good

Amazing hotel
I have learned not to expect much in bakersfield hotels but this hotel was fantastic early check in on a saturday she looked really hard to find us the room we needed I would stay again and again and I plan to!

Terrific experience!
I was attending a conference and received outstanding service, free internet (which many of my associates at a nearby hotel didn't have). Very secure although it is in a great area.Loved the easy access to everything! Would definately stay again! (and so will my associates).[...]

The Japanese Restaurant, Sushi Tozai is fantastic! Took some friends to the Bull Shead and they enjoyed it as well. (including the free bull ride on Dolly)

Great place to stay
This was a great hotel. The beds were comfortable, clean. It had everything that we needed. The only thing it could have had, was a ice machine on the first floor.

Terry cold in Bakersfield
Wasn't happy............
I ordered a smoking room, no ashtrays. The faucet on the bathroom sink was lose.Ice and cold drinks were blocked off on my floor. Had to go off the floor to get them. The TV remote didn't work all the time and when it did it was slow. A/C would not shut off and was right in front of the computer desk where I was working. Had to unplug it to stop it from blowing cool air on me while using my computer. The room was not what one would exspect from Hilton.

FANTASTIC OASIS IN BAKERSFIELD
THE ROOMS WERE BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS. THE ROOM WERE CLEAN AND HAD A HOME FEEL TO THEM. BEDS WERE EXTREMELY COMFOTABLE. LINEN AND TOWELS WERE CLEAN AND PLUSH.
