Decent but not great by any means

Attended a convention and Disneyland one evening. Hotel needing upgrading badly, but the price was good and location was super. Would have been nice to have some fruit and more selection for the continental breakfast. Some newer blankets and towels would have been nice as well as a newer faucet in the bathroom etc.

You get what you pay for

We found a couple of bugs crawling around when we arrived. The next night the power went out for about two hours. The following morning, the hot water wasn't working.

A Good Value @ $40 a Night

We stayed (4) nights. Went to Disneyland, Mickey's Halloween Party and California Adventure. This hotel is within walking distance on your first morning to the parks, but not a comfortable walking distance at the end of the day or the next morning. We usually plan to park at Disney anyway so that wasn't an issue for us. We like to take the tram and get the Downtown Disney experience that way. The room "looked" clean and well kept, but as I read in reviews before I booked this room, the carpet is disgusting. The beds were hard and lumpy and you MUST wear socks and/or shoes when walking on the carpet or your feet will be black in just a few steps. The room had a refrigerator that worked well and a microwave we didn't use. We also did not use the provided TV, (2) in room safes or the alarm clock. The hotel also has a very small pool and a hot tub which we walked by several times but did not use. We have stayed at several hotels in the area, all closer to Disneyland and this one was pretty much the same as all the others. I did find a tiny bug scurrying on the nightstand but no other bugs at any other point. We were worried about bed bugs, but didn't see any signs of them. We only received Shampoo and Conditioner on our last day there, but we brought our own so that didn't matter. Fresh towels were in the room each day, but like the other hotels in the area, they were more like sandpaper. I'm honestly not sure if the sheets were changed daily or if they just made the bed because I saw the sheet on the bed next to mine was always about half way up the side of the mattress in the same place, just above a quarter sized stain. The water in the shower frequently fluctuated between really and hot and really cold, but we managed to endure. One nice thing is that the shower head was raised so we didn't have to bend down to wash our hair as we have in the past at other hotels. The breakfast consisted of donuts, toast and cereal with milk and orange juice. We grabbed a couple things the first morning but skipped it the next two days. On the fourth morning my son was scolded by the "breakfast lady" for filling a larger cup than the one they provide with milk for his little sister. We felt he was justified since we didn't eat or drink anything the two days prior. Parking IS an issue. We never parked near our room and one night had to park in an area where we were worried we might be towed. Our car was always within slightly obstructed view from our room. Cars are parked everywhere and it's very inconvenient. They have an agreement with the Denny's next door to provide overflow parking but they won't take any responsibility for damage or break-ins AND you can only park there from 11pm to 7am. As I overheard the conversation of the people checking in before me and the desk worker, it was apparent that the clerk was not aware of anything happening at Disney including the special Halloween party or park hours at either park.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you are going to Disneyland or DCA, pack a small cooler with frozen water bottles and snacks like nuts, jerky or a PB&J sandwich. As long as you're not feeding an army and it's in a soft sided cooler you'll be able to take some food and drinks into the parks and save time and money.

Bad experience

We were on our way to Las Vegas. The bathtub was dirty, bedsheets looked if somebody else already have used the beds. we found a cockroach at the automat to get the botles. Promised us (we ck.in at 12.00 pm), that they have blocked for us a room on the first floor.

You Get What You Pay For

This hotel was cheap pricewise and roomwise. I do like a bargain so I put up with it, but the bathtub didn't drain and then worse than that, stuff started coming back up from the drain--gunky black stuff--it was gross and made the tub black so the kids didn't have a shower that day. Also on the Saturday night we arrived back from Disneyland around midnight and there was not one place to park. That is a pain. The room was adequate with a small fridge, microwave and table with 2 chairs. Beds were fine. Bathroom was not. Breakfast had small donuts, croissants, bread and cereal. Juice machine was out of orange juice and apple juice.

2-night stay to go to Disneyland

When I checked in, the front desk agent was average. Could have been more friendly and welcoming. The room I got was huge! Very spacious. It had two queen size bed and plenty of extra room. The heater did not work in my room. I decided not to call the front desk because it wasn't that cold anyway and I was already all unpacked. I did mention it when I checked out and the front desk agent could have been more apologetic or show some sympathy. All she said was "I'll get the housekeeper to check it out." They only had 12 channels on their TV but that doesn't really matter since you shouldn't be staying in the room most of the time. When I went to the bathroom I found some hair in the ice bucket that was not from me. That wasn't very pleasant. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. I only used the fridge to store waters for the park the next day. No freezer though. The breakfast included really good croissants, donuts, bread for toast with jelly, 2 kind of cereal which I think one was frosted flakes and I don't remember the other one. There was also milk, cranberry juice, and coffee. They also had apple and orange juice but must have ran out. The beds were ok not the best but not the worst. Some pros of the hotels were parking was free, free breakfast, close to Disneyland, close to a Denny's, and big rooms(at least the one I stayed in). Bottom line is....You pay for what you get.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Leave your car at the hotel and walk north when you get onto Harbor Blvd. then make a right(east) into the Toy Story parking lot and walk all the way down to the Toy Story buses and hop right on and they will take you to the front gates of Disneyland! The shuttles are free and you don't have to park to ride them. The walk from the Travelogde and shuttle is about half a mile. Just remember if you decide to do this, you'll have to walk back to your room at the end of the night when you already had a long day at the park. Saves you money on parking and taking a long walk though.

Meh it was cheap

Came to cali for Blizzcon and needed a cheap hotel close to the convention center. I wasn't looking for anything special since I would be spending most of my time at the convention and not in my room. Not a very a family friendly place, kinda dirty, beds are uncomfortable, shower loses hot water fast, and the free breakfast offers very little. Overall it works if you're like me .... need a room to set your stuff down in.

Place to stay to experience theft

To make this simple... Stayed 6 nights for Disneyland vacation, after 1st day of Disneyland play; kept 'do not disturb' sign on room door for items were stolen by housekeeping! Thus our room was not serviced after that. Took hounding for 2 days to have items like shampoo, towels replenished by manager at our own pick up at office. Never got clean towels! Emptied our own garbage etc to keep from having other items stolen. Pool dirty!!!!

Will pass Subway, open 24 hrs, on transit to Disneyland. Very helpful to seperately wrap sandwich items to last the day in Disneyland
