Although it's known as one of the Anaheim Disneyland hotels, The Red Lion Hotel Anaheim offers the humble atmosphere of a friendly California inn, and business travelers will appreciate the 5,000-square-feet of event space and free Wi-Fi (fees may apply) throughout the property. The sleek, glass-walled hotel greets its guests with comfy low-rise chairs on the terraces and swaying palms out front. Making a play on its name with the Roaring Start breakfast, the Red Lion also makes the most of its location, with outdoor fire pits to keep guests toasty-warm while watching the weekend Disney fireworks. There's a relaxed family feel to Red's Pasta Kitchen, and the outdoor pool offers heated luxury until 9:00pm every night.

Ok

The hotel was ok, nothing special. You can hear the street from the rooms. Beds were medium with regards to comfort. Wifi was great sometimes and flaky other times. Dining options in the hotel are limited. Surrounding area is boring unless you are there to go to disney.

Great Family Get Away

We took a family vacation to Disneyland during the Thanksgiving Holidays. This was a great place to stay because it was clean, the breakfast they served was excellent, and this hotel was walking distance from Disneyland. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of taking a family vacation to Disneyland.

Great Location!

We went to Disney and California Adventure. The hotel was in a great location, only a 10minute walk to the parks. We got breakfast buffet each morning as part of our room rate. The only thing I did not like was the coldness of the room. The housekeepers shut off the heat when you are not there and the room ends up freezing. But otherwise, great customer service at the front desk and nice accomodations.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Don't eat at the IHOPs or Denny's right by the parks. There are several of them along the strip of hotels on the way to the parks. My husband and I had 2 sandwiches and 2 ice teas at an IHOP and it cost almost 40 bucks. Go just a couple of blocks away and eat at those restaurants.

Definetly worth it

The fireworks view was worth the upgrade price. The hotel was very clean and well put together. The only exception to perfection was the unadvertised parking fee that added 14 dollars per night. Other than that is was a great experience.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Can walk to Disneyland but it's a little far. Walk one-way and take the Anaheim Transit back when you have had a long day at the park. It's only a few bucks for a 3-day ticket.

Red Lion Hotel

Hotel accommodation and staff were courteous and attentive. Excellent hot buffet breakfast. $18.00 total for 2 people plus, 2 children under the age of 10 eat free when accompanied by 2 adults. Great value. Hotel is about 3 blocks from Disneyland and close to good restaurants. We would stay there again.

Great experience

Hotel looked mew and clean. Staff was very responsive and friendly. It is a about a 5 minute walk from to the convention center. Price was very good for the quality. There was a $14 daily parking charge that was not mentioned but I knew about it from other reviews. I think all the hotels near the convention center charge some parking fee so I didn't mind.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel has two buildings. For a shorter walk to the convention center ask for a room on the first floor in their secondary building away from check-in.
