Wonderful Hotel!! Must go!!

Hotel Pepper Tree Kitchen & Suite was a great place to be at. It was a lot better than I anticipated. The check-in & clean up staffs were extremely helpful and friendly. If you need transportation to the airport, try Super shuttle. It's alot more cheaper than other services. The staff was able to provide this information and a lot of additional necessary information that made this trip as pleasent and unforgetable as possible. I would definately revisit this hotel again. Highly recommended BUT do not purchase the Disneyland resort shuttle bus... it does not service this hotel and you might end up losing $48 for two people (just like I did).

A Pleasant Surprise in Anaheim

As a woman traveling on my own, I'm always concerned with where I stay. Safe and clean are my priorities, but I don't like the sameness of the chain hotels. So, I always try to find something smaller with a little local character. The Pepper Tree fit the bill perfectly. The Mexican hacienda styling has been very nicely done; my room was large, comfortable AND CLEAN. The neighborhood - I'd say as you go west of US 5 on Lincoln - the neighborhood becomes transitional - but I felt VERY SAFE even coming in late at night. The hotel's complimentary breakfast was provided by the Mexican restaurant next door, the Azteca. If you like Mexican food - real Mexican food - get your coffee and juice from the complimentary breakfast buffet but do yourself a favor and order off the menu for the best huevos rancheros you've ever had. (Get it with the carnitas and side of hot corn tortillas - total price: $6.50.) But back to the Pepper Tree. The staff was great. Very knowledgeable about the area, accommodating and kind. I would definitely stay again, and have thought more than once of those great breakfasts at the Azteca.

Great ambiance for a comfortable stay

The room we were in was really nice, clean, and comfortable. Ambiance is somewhat important to me as it adds to the specialness of the holiday. If ambiance is important to you as well, then this is a great hotel for the price. My only complaint about the hotel is that it is old, so the noise factor was little to be desired. When people upstairs were moving things around, I heard it. When kids were running down the hall. I heard it. If noise factor is a big deal for you, then I don't think this would be a good place for you unless you ask the front desk to specifically locate you in an upper floor or away from big family. But I suspect the walls are a little thin, too... so overall, this may not be the hotel for you if you need absolute silence to be able to rest.

Great value for your money. Will stay again!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The bed had like a space foam cover on it that made it very comfortable. The cont. breakfast had a good selection. The wall are brick and you can't even hear anyone else in the building. Very nice!! It was only about a 5 minute drive to disneyland.

Very Family Friendly

The Pepper Tree Hotel was a great value for my family. It was about a 10 minute drive to the Disneyland Resort and had all your local ammenities close by. The room was very spacious and had plenty of room for my 3 children to be comfortable away from home. The kitchen in the room was a nice feature and having a local supermarket right across the street was just an added bonus. I was nice to have a free continental breakfast for our time on the go. I would definately stay there again.

Ralph's Supermarket is directly across the street and is very convenient for those late night snacks. Target is just down the street for your last minute needs, i.e. batteries, sunscreen, cameras, etc...

quiet retreat

The room was well appointed, the kitchen more than adequate, plenty of closet/storage space. Pleased to have a settee so as not to have to lay on the bed to watch TV. Good to have a large surface for writing/eating/sorting travel data, etc. It was convenient to freeway system once we determined which one we needed. the breakfast facility at the restaurant worked very well. One morning we enjoyed their special breakfast for a nominal cost rather than the continental breakfast included with the room.

The perfect place

The Hotel Pepper Tree was a nice, clean, comfortable hotel with a good price. The room was perfect size with everything you could need, a couch, fridge, stove, a nice little balcony. The room and hotel were beautiful. The location was good, less than 5 minutes from Disneyland and that whole area. Free breakfast at a little restaurant literally steps away from the hotel.
