Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim Resort/Convention Center

I'd never stayed at this Doubletree before, needed a room for the weekend that was walking distance from the convention center and figured I'd give this one a shot. The staff seemed competent and attentive, and were very friendly. I dropped my bags at the bell desk in the morning (my room wasn't ready yet), they were safely locked away till I returned later that night. My next morning's shower wasn't altogether pleasant - I had to rush a bit as the drain was backed up, the tub was almost full by the time I finished. As I left the hotel, I alerted someone at the front desk about it, and he said he'd send someone up right away. When I returned that night, I noticed that the swivel chair at the desk was also much cleaner than it had been previously - what I'd thought were stains were now gone. The shower drain was also fixed. I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again next year.

We were on the second floor and very close to the pool, which had children playing loudly. That was the only thing I would mention. Otherwise, the staff were great. Even with the pool, it closes at a very reasonable hour. The complementary breakfast was very nice. The room was very comfortable and a walking distance from great food (about 0.5 mi) and Disneyland (about 1 mi). One room is pretty much like the rest but if you want to be treated really well by staff, amenites and great service, this is a great option. We were able to purchase D-land tix at the hotel and make reseverations at the Blue Bayuo. Joe's Crab Shack a half mile away was WONDERFUL!!! The fitness center was also well supplied, clean, safe and comfortable.

My wife and I got caught in the rain while visiting Disneyland and had to get to the hotel early to dry off. The hotel was conveniently located near the park and check-in was quickly completed with the help of the very friendly desk clerk (including a fresh baked cookie for each of us). The room was clean an comfortable, allowing us to dry off and get a good night's rest to prepair for another fun day. I would recommend the Doubletree and look forward to our next visit.

I asked if a suite was available and was able to upgrade for an additional fee. The suite was a corner unit very quiet and spacious. I would stay here again. I have stayed at this property before and have found it to be an excellent hotel to stay in.

My only small complaint--actually more an observation than a complaint since the hotel was lovely. I do not understand why this hotel was rated as four stars when other hotels we stayed in in the area, Hilton, Crown Plaza, Marriott, etc., which were rated three stars were virtually identical in value and amenities.

This Hotel was very clean and nice! It smelled of new carpet from the moment we walked in the door. It is not as close to Disney land as I first thought. It's about a 20 minute walk there. We elected to drive because we were traveling with young children, but the drive with the traffic took almost an hour so walking is your best choice. They DO NOT offer a shuttle to the park. Also they advertise free breakfast for children but if you purchase a breakfast deal through the website they will NOT honor the childrens free breakfast. It cost $14 per day to park, but after speaking with other people... most of the hotels do. There are some decent restaurants within walking distance and the staff was friendly. In a nut shell .... if you are looking for clean and upscale ... this is a GREAT hotel!

Clean. New furnIshings and decor. Helpful staff. Great beds. Great value for price paid. Easy to get to Disneyland. Would stay here again.
