Dolphins Cove Resort

The rooms are a little dated, but were clean and spacious. Resort is located a few blocks down from Disney in older neighborhood. the hot tub was not very hot and jets were not working.

Nice place to stay with my family without having to get 2 separate rooms. My son liked that it was within walking distance of Disneyland.

The nightmare started with the desk clerk, [...], who gave us a hard time checking in. Was short and rude when I didn't have a hard copy of conformation letter. I asked if I could print it in their business center or if he could print it from my email. "NO!!" So, I called Obitz who faxed over a copy. While waiting, [...], talked me to death about his 19 cousins, quad sisters, grandfathers rise to money owning blocks of houses and hardware stores, how his father says "like OH MY GOD!" over and over and how he is really a substitute teacher passing his time here. But when I was unhappy with the room he was no help! First he said there were better rooms for more money, When I said thats fine, I'll pay extra I don't mind it can be a two or three bedroom, I just want to have a good nights sleep and I don't want my son to sleep on the horrible sofa bed. Then he changed again and was very stearn and short with me. He said there are no more rooms, sold out! I asked are you sure? then we hung up. I then logged on my laptop and found rooms were still available on several websites, yours and theirs included. So I called him back and told him what I found and asked why he was being so mean. Why won't you help and move us to a better room. Then it was clear he got angry and in a extremely sarcastic tone he said "oh really...oh, I'm so sorry..... we have no more rooms, enjoy your stay... good night" If I had extra money to throw away I would have bought another room just to prove this but I am on a budget. I spoke to the manager in the AM, expressed everything to her,she acted sympathetic, said whe would look into it, but did nothing.I have not heard from anyone at from that so called resort to this day. I feel I should have had some kind of response. Dolphins Cove clearly does not care about providing a decent room or service. A MISERABLE NIGHTS SLEEP, HORRIBLE ACCOMODATIONS AND SERVICE, NEVER AGAIN - A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! MOTEL 6 IS A PALACE COMPARED TO THIS! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO A ENEMY!

This is a great place to stay. This room we had though wasn't the best. The bed wasn't comfortable which is a first. We have stayed a few times before and never had this problem. I love the location. Close to the park. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay and wants the ability to save some money on food. Being able to have cheap breakfast/dinner makes the dollars go farther for the overall trip.
