From its humble beginnings as a motor lodge and one of the original lodgings on the Disney property, Disneyland Hotel on Disneyland Resort saw a great expansion in 2010. Nowadays, it allows travelers to experience classic Disney with a modern twist. The grounds showcase three towers with distinct Disney themes, guestrooms with branded touches, and Signature suites such as the Mickey Mouse Penthouse, the Fairy Tale Suite and the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite. Despite its contemporary appearance, there are pieces of nostalgia strategically-placed throughout the hotel, to preserve its heritage. The large complex features numerous convention and banquet facilities, and an intimate wedding can be organized on the grounds, which are filled with a well-manicured garden and gazebo. The property also features an expanded courtyard with pools and water slides for the little ones.

Neighborhood
The Disneyland Hotel sits across Disneyland Drive and next to Downtown Disney. The hotel complex is quite large and houses numerous restaurants and shops. Because of the hotel's proximity to Downtown Disney, it is possible to walk to the area and enjoy other dining and entertainment options as well. Check out ESPN Zone or AMC Theatres for multimedia sports or the latest film releases.
Hints and tips
To enjoy pampering and leisure after a long day, visit the Mandara Spa or grab a drink at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.

The Frontier Tower is the furthest away from the amenities, but the rooms feel bigger; this is helpful for families with small children who have strollers and cribs to store.

If only for the proximity and ability to get into the Parks during the Magic Hour...great hotel.

Other than the price, outstanding

You can't beat the Disneyland Hotels for location and amenities but be ready to throw the budget out the window.

Disneyland Adventure Hotel

Hotel was great. Perfect location as it was close to the Monorail and Disney town. Very friendly staff and room was great. Would definitely go back and use this hotel again. Could also see most of the firework show as our window faced downtown Disney. We were on the 4th floor but if we were 1 or 2 floors higher we would have been able to see all the fireworks. As it was we had a couple trees blocking some of our view but was still good.

Even more magical

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered out room. Although small, the decor was well done - Disney, but not cheesy. Hotel and room were very clean and updated. Pool area was fantastic for out 7 and 5 yr. olds.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the Monarail from downtown Disney to enter Disneyland and The park entrance in the Grand California Hotel to enter CAL. You can avoid long lines by using these entrances only the Disney Hotel Guests can use.

Perfect - Loved everything about thus hotel

My family and I stayed here in August of 2014 and we all loved this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Downtown Disney and it was a short walk to the front gate of Disney and an even shorter walk to the monorail. The hotel was emasculate and the staff was wonderful.. The hotel grounds are well kept and the pool is so pretty. Even though you are in the middle of Anaheim, you would never know it because Disney does a great job it keeping the noise out and the scenery pretty. We loved everything about this Hotel and it's location!

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Don't be afraid to venture of the grounds of Disney, we took a cab to the local CVS and stocked up on water and snacks. Saved us a lot of money!

Disappointing

probably the most disappointed I've been in a hotel. I've stayed in nicer Hampton Inns. The convience to the park is its main feature. And you better be on that Monorail 10 mins before closing or you're walking all the way back! We stayed here because we brought a 5 yr old and no stroller. If your spending $350 a night just spend the extra and stay at the Grand Californian.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Make sure you leave yourself time to fight the crowds to get on the monorail before it closes. Don't even be 1 minute past closing!

Magical

Great location and hotel nicely remodeled. My kids love the headboard that sings and light up. We also get to walk down to downtown Disney and watch the firework every night.

Family Vacation

We've been to Disneyland several times, but this was our first time staying at a Disney hotel. The Disneyland hotel is absolutely awesome! Our room was clean, the rooms are very nice, the staff was excellent. Our kids loved the light up headboard. The best part is the pools, they have several lifeguards on duty and they have life jackets for little kids. We will definitely stay there on our next trip.
