All the perks with half the price
This hotel provides you with a major perk of staying at one of Disney Resorts...you get into the park an hour early! We rode many rides in the morning before the crowds came. It was a clean room, the pool was enjoyable, the proximity to the park is unbeatable and the walk to downtown disney was just great. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Great time with the kids for their birthday
I brought pain medication with me on the trip along with a pill cutter. I hid both in my luggage which was placed in the closet on a shelf. When we returned for the night after spending all day at the park, the prescription bottle and cutter were gone. I called the front desk and a chipper clerk "assured me" the staff would NEVER take a guests belongings. This was the first time I had anything taken while staying at a hotel.

Time-saving tip:
In Hotel
Ask to be placed on one of the top floors. During peak times it is very hard to get a spot on one of the 3 elevators because they get filled up very fast. Especially if you travel with strollers!

Perfect Hotel for Disneyland
I chose this hotel based on the last few trips at Disneyland having to travel by shuttle or our own car not being fantastic. This place was part of the Disneyland Hotel experience and it was wonderfully clean, close, and had ample activities for those not going to Disneyland at all. In addition to the short walk to the parks from here, you receive an hour's early admission into Disneyland!

Short walk from hotel
Instead of walking through Downtown Disney to the parks main entrance and going through all the lines, if you stay at the hotel and have your tickets/room key on hand, walk to the monorail located in Downtown Disney. It will take you into Tomorrowland.

I was not pleased with the room that I got. I thought I had payed for a park view room but end up with a standard room facing the pool.

great trip!
We had a great time. The hotel is newly renovated and our room was very clean and nice. It was a short 2 minute walk through the Grand California Hotel to California Adventure and a 5 minute walk to Disneyland. Although the hotel pool was under renovation, we went to the nearby Disneyland Hotel and used theirs. The kids loved the water slides. Once the renovation of the water slides at Paradise Pier are completed it will be a very nice stay.

Make sure to make reservations for dinners. The nearby good restaurants book quickly. We ate at Naples and the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney and enjoyed both.

Typical Disney
This was our first stay in the Paradise Pier property after having stayed in the Disneyland Hotel a couple years ago. The rooms were spacious and brightly decorated. Very nice toiletries provided and housekeeping was great. We even received complimentary balloons and pins for the kids as we were celebrating a birthday. Beds were comfortable and the view would have been nice, had construction not been underway. Plenty to see and do in this location and a close walk to the Monorail, when operating. In-house cartoon theatre, vending, shopping, restaurant, and arcade made this the perfect little spot for the whole family. I would stay here again if the price were right.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
For those wanting to save a little $$ on breakfast, the rooms have a nice mini-fridge if you bring your own snacks. Or, it's a short walk to Disneyland Hotel's Tangaroa Terrace which has hot breakfasts available for the same price as in the park. Quick way to start the day before going into the park.
