Renamed the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel Anaheim in late 2000 after five years as the 'Disneyland Pacific Hotel,' the grounds reflect the grand seaside resorts of an earlier era, with beach ball-bright decor in the rooms, and features like the rooftop water slide. Slurpin' USA! provides poolside sandwiches and hot dogs, while Surfside Lounge serves the more sophisticated cocktail crowd. Make sure the kids are at breakfast in Disney's PCH Grill - you can often eat your waffles alongside animated heroes ranging from Stitch to Donald Duck. Indulge in the Mandara Spa at the Disney Grand Californian next door, but make sure you're back at the Paradise Pier pool deck by evening for the firework displays (selected nights).
Location
Disney's Paradise Pier overlooks the section of Disney California Adventure Park that shares its name, and recreates classic amusement park attractions. Access to nearby Downtown Disney is free for all, if you're up for live music on the lake at Disney West Side, or to browse the world's largest Disney Store. Located off the Santa Ana freeway in Anaheim, California, it's a short drive north to other theme parks like Knott's Berry Farm, and shuttles run from the Disney resorts to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and downtown Los Angeles.

First time at Disney Paradise Pier Hotel.

The hotel was convienently located next to the parks and Downtown Disney. The staff was helpful and very friendly. All of the amenities were top notch. My only sugestion to hotel management is to place more than cashier in the gift shop. Having to wait in long lines to make a purchase is less than satisfying.

Fun with our son.

We were upgraded to a two room suite which was very nice. We needed a handicap room which was not available when we arrived but for this room all we needed was a shower chair which they were able to provide. We lived our room and if the price is right we would stay here again.

Great stay

Clean, good sized rooms. Staff was very friendly, view was amazing. Close to parks. A little pricey, but it's Disney. Could here some noise from California Adventure and the street below, but didn't have trouble sleeping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great Disney Trip

The hotel was very accommodating. Excellent customer service. It was close enough to walk to Disneyland, although you do have to walk across a busy street to get to the Grand Californian park entrance. My 6 year old loved the hotel and meeting all the characters for breakfast. The restaurant is overpriced and the food isn't that great but you really are just paying for the character experience (food is basically average like all the Disney restaurants) so as long as you understand that you wont be disappointed. The best part of the hotel besides the Disneyland extras (early entrance!! YAY!) was the waterslide. We had so much fun going down the waterslide and swimming in the pool. We will stay there again. Definitely.

Didn't have that Disney feel but was still nice

Having stayed at the Disney resorts in Florida I had high expectations for this hotel. While the hotel was nice and most of the staff nice, it seemed just like any other hotel, but much more expensive. The best thing about the hotel was the location... Walking distance to the parks and Downtown Disney, otherwise it was nothing special.

Fun place to stay at Disneyland Resort!

We enjoy the Paradise Pier Hotel while staying at Disneyland Resort, however we much prefer Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian. The staff and ambiance aren't on par with the other properties. That being said we love the beach theme, Surf Up's character breakfast, pool (it's small but well maintained and the waterslide is great), and location. The special hotel activities are especially fun - pool dance party in the afternoons, outdoor movies, and firework viewing on the outdoor viewing deck. The Sandbar poolside bar is especially lacking - the food choices are very limited and had been sitting around all day and the poolside service is very spotty. I look forward to a remodel of the lobby area - it's starting to get dated and shabby. The Cast Members need to step up their game - they are not comparable to the other resort hotels and did not provide the same level of service and Magic overall (some were great, like the valet CMs). This is a fun place to stay! But we'll always choose the DLH or Grand first.
