Awesome Location!

Got a great deal on our room, King size suite. Loved the private living room, 2 tvs, ac, bedding... etc etc. Room was very clean, housekeeping was very consistent. Free parking. Decent sized outdoor pool. Didn't eat in the hotel's cafe as we were so close to so many great places to graba bite at. Did get sick of the breakfast after 10 days, but since it's included, can't complain too much about free donuts and juice etc etc. A quick walk to Disney, malls, convention center, near major 1-5 freeways, one turn to San Diego, one turn to LA...

Great Disneyland base camp

We liked staying at this hotel for a few main reasons: -Great pool with late hours, which they cleaned every morning -A good continental breakfast with lots of options -Helpful, courteous staff -Close to Disneyland -Free underground parking We brought our three kids and my parents, so the normal suite was a little cramped. They also have a family suite which is much bigger and has separate rooms (next time). I would definitely stay there again.

You get what you pay for...

From the pictures described shown on the website, the rooms looked fantastic. But reality set in the night we arrived. But can't complain because you do get what you pay for. I booked a very affordable Disney Vacation. The rooms are comfortable after a long day. They are functional, not frilly. One day we came back and saw that a little critter (roach) had somehow gotten into our room, but it was not big deal, the staff offered to switch rooms for us and came up and took care of the situation quickly. I would stay again, but I would definitely upgrade my room to a suite!

Fun Family vacation

Good location to walk to the Disney Parks. We had the kitchenette suite which was very handy, had bottle opener etc that we didn't even think about needing when packing. Pool was a good temperature. Spacious rooms too.

family reunion

stay was good overall. The breakfast buffet was nice but they need more variety of foods instead of the same meal every day. ex. change sausage to bacon., different types of cereal, maybe some biscuits with gravy.

Great Value and Great Location

We stayed at Desert Palms Suites located a block from the Disney entrance. We've stayed at a number of decent hotels in the area over the years but this one was clearly the best of them all and it's a great value. Room was clean and looked fresh. Maids did a great job and the entire property was well maintained. The staff are very friendly and did a great job. Some of the simple things that made a difference for our family of 6 were: breakfast area was clean along with great food and nice staff that wouldn't shut the place down promptly at 10 am but waited until everyone was done, parking was sufficient with open spots every night, pool was clean, walk to the park was decent at 15 minutes from door to gate and the laundry room on each floor made it convenient for our 11 night stay. Overall, a great experience and I recommend it highly. We will definitely stay here again.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

With Kids, I recommend driving west on Katella about 3/4 mile to the Food 4 Less grocery store's deli and pick up their five pack of fresh subs for just $5.98. Sealed in a large zip lock bag and easy to bring to the parks. Prices in the store are great. Just across the street is a Pizza Hut and Papa Johns with carryout specials. M & M Donuts in the same parking lot is cheap delicious eats.

getaway with the grandkids

we checked in and was told we were in the quiet area. all was going fine until about 10:30 at night then the noise would start sounded like they were coming through the ceiling called front desk they said they would call and that they were strict on after 10:00 noise controlafter the 2nd night started again called they called the room above we were told they had bunk beds above us and the children were jumping off beds said we could change rooms but had to do now this is 11:00 at night we did but with no compensation and this was quite a job with two kids that were sleeping. I was a little disappointed in the hotel we have stayed there before.

Disney Vacation!

Hotel was nice and clean, hallways had a smell to them but the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was the same every morning, they could change it up a little. this hotel did not offer free shuttle service to the park you had to buy a pass. The park was within walking distance, but after a long day the shuttle would have be very nice.

Albertsons grocery store is down the street, I would recommend to any family with children to buy lunch items and pack to take with. food in the parks were expensive and not very appealing.
