parking and taxes

So ... overall it was a good place to stay, but when we got hoome, what I didn't realize was that when I thought I paid for our trip in full through this website, there was another $80 in charges from the hotel to cover parking, taxes, and room fees that were not included in our trip. Just an FYI. .

Great price for the location!

Our biggest reason for booking this hotel was the location. It's almost directly across from the main gate. (In fact, it's closer to the park than the Disneyland Hotel.) Price was good. Only downfall was parking was TIGHT and often times the valets blocked us in. Once we were parked, it made it hard to leave. Also, our bathroom sink was clogged and was leaking water all over the floor. But on the bright side, they were quick to fix it. Overall, not bad but definitely worth it for the price considering the location.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

This was so close to the main gate that the price was so worth it! We didn't have to wait for a shuttle or the monorail and we were closer than the Paradise Pier Hotel and Disneyland Hotel to the actual park. We could easily leave the park and come back when we wanted to without having to deal with a shuttle schedule.

Not what was promised

We booked a suit with 2 queens plus bunkbeds. When we got there they didn't have the room we booked and gave us a room with 2 queen beds which made it cramped in our room. I will say they gave us a roll away at no charge and then Ok'd a credit for $75. The staff was nice and the location in relation to the park was great.

It was a pretty good stay

I like it. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but I expect that at hotels like this. Kind of expensive, but you are literally 25 steps from the crosswalk to the disneyland resort.

The continental breakfast is horrible. Stale bread and cereal. I recommend the denny's in front of the hotel.

Great hotel close to park

Right across from the park. Clean, friendly staff, nothing fancy. Stay away from the pizza place they advertise on the room key and you'll b fine!

Misleading pictures on web site-Bad place to stay

The bright yellow rooms on their web site are now dark and the rooms smell bad. The "Family Suite" they advertise is just two adjoining rooms with a connecting door, no actual "Family Suite" exists. We booked a Family Suite six months in advance (for two parents, two kids and grandma), however, we were given two NON-adjoining rooms next to each other. When we complained we were told that adjoining rooms (aka the "Family Suites") was "a request, not a guarantee." We got little sympathy from each of the 3 desk clerks we spoke to. The old refrigerator in one room was so loud we had to unplug it. The heater/air conditioners were also very loud and not very efficient. The TV remote control needed to be replaced (batteries were fine, it just did not work). The outdoor pool was cold as was the hot tub. The money we saved staying at this very inexpensive motel was lost (and then some!) when my iPod classic I left in the room was replaced with a broken one. We filed an incident report but we are not holding our breath.

Great week long stay

They have done many improvements to the Del Sol. Best location for going to Disneyland. The housekeeping crew were wonderfull, everyday they not only cleaned the room and made beds but folded our baby girls blankets, and even arranged her babydoll on the bed with pillows. Great service all around,we will definitely stay again.

Great Location for a good price!!

The location is FANTASTIC! It really is directly accross from the entrance to the Disneyland resort. The rooms are also quite large with a microwave and fridge! The staff is also very helpfull expecially the parking attendents. They basically packed my car for me! The only downside is the breakfast is a joke. Go to a grocery store and by something to suppelemt it. overall we had a great time in the Disney parks and this was a great place to sleep at night!
