Nice Room, A Few Issues

I booked this room when my travel plans had to change and I needed to stay in Anaheim an extra night. Overall I was pleased with the quality of the room. I slept well, the pool was warm, and the hot tub hot. I was a impressed enough I would give serious consideration to making it my hotel of choice when in Anaheim. Two things marred the trip. One was that the pool needed to be skimmed of bugs and leaves. The other was I noticed a worker apparently using insect spray in one of the rooms. While it is nice they were fixing a problem, I'm not thrilled with the idea of bugs in the first place.

Almost Perfect!

We chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced for the Anahiem area near the Honda Center, where we were attending a concert. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. I would definitely come here again.

Okay for the price

The hotel was clean and adequate. I was disappointed in the continental breakfast and the road noise from the interstate that runs directly adjacent to the hotel. Otherwise, its a fine hotel for cleanliness and location to Disney (though I was there for the conference center).

Overpriced and underserved

There was a great deal missing at this hotel....the desk staff was complacent and seemed put out when asked for something. Upon arrival we found out that our room was right next to the freeway. Concerned about the noise I asked if it became a problem, could we be moved to another room. I was taken aback when told that it would be an extra 10 or 20 dollars per night! I thought the hotel chain was in the business of keeping customers comfortable. Another Example: The downstairs water fountain was broken. The breakfast area was dissolved at the exact moment it was to be closed down so not a drop of anything was to be found. When my husband asked if it were possible to get water the supervisor said "sorry the fountain is broken but should be fixed tomorrow." She then briskly walked off. How hard would it have been to put out a pitcher of water with a few glasses for the guests? The whole desk staff had the same attitude probably because of the captive audience of Disneyland tourists. On a positive note, I highly commend the cleaning staff. They did an excellent job of cleaning our room especially considering the volume of traffic in that hotel. I will not return to that hotel and will not recommend any of the Comfort Inns in that city to friends or family.

Comfort Inn & Suites, Anaheim, CA

The Comfort Inn & Suites in Anaheim, CA was a fair price for what we got. The front desk was friendly and sweet. The free breakfast(from 6:30am-9:00am) included danishes, donuts, waffles, toast(white or brown), english muffins, cold cereals and hard-boiled eggs. There was coffee, decaf, tea, apple juice, orange juice, water and milk. The room was clean, free cable with a lot of channels, internet wifi(you may bring a laptop!), the shower curtain had magnets on the bottom so it stuck to the tub instead of trying to cling to you inappropriately in the shower and our one kingsize bed suite had a lot of space for just two people. The bed also didn't have a space underneath for children to get squished under or for you to lose your socks under. The hotel staff is used to getting questions about Disneyland, the McDonalds being too far away to walk, Universal Studios, shuttles, etc. A few negative things... our window curtains on the second floor wouldn't close completely so the cars passing by might have had a split second show. We were told at the front desk that Disneyland was about a 20 minute walk away and not pleasurable. And the $$ off admission tickets($ each ticket) for Universal Studios we got for taking the shuttle bus to Disneyland($ per person for one day, all day) did not count unless we bought the admission tickets directly at the Universal Studios front gate. Since we booked our space on a tour bus we couldn't use them. It was over an hour bus ride there so it's not like we could have walked or taken a taxi($$$) in order to use the $$ off. There is a convenience store right around the corner but as you walk in you have to swat away the fly swarm. Our bedside clock decided to turn itself on a few random times in the middle of the night to some random fuzzy radio noises... it was quickly unplugged and we used our cell phones for a morning alarm. Overall, hotel is clean, the people are friendly and the price is right. We spent three nights, four days there but it was definately not enough time to check everything out. By the way, you will need your sunglasses, don't forget to double check you have them packed!

Shopping tip: Not Applicable

We are Canadians who visited the states and no where that we went would accept bank cards. You will need a credit card or american cash in hand to pay for anything. There usually are ATMs where you can take cash out.

Blizzcon 2010

I stayed in Anaheim for Blizzcon 2010, the hotel was great, only about a mile from the Anaheim Convention Center, making it easy to just walk to the convention both days. I don't think the location of the hotel could have been any better. Only thing that would have made it the best, would be a little variety in breakfast options, staying 5 days, the options got a little old.
