Great family trip
This is a no frills hotel, but the location is great for a disney trip. The family suite is large and comfortable. Two bathrooms would have made it a little more comfortable. The pool is small, only 3.5 feet deep, but my kids still loved it. Overall a great value if compared to the price of Disney hotels.

Disneyland spring break vacation
It was better than I thought. A little pricey for what you get, but after you factor in the convenience and close proximity to Disneyland I guess it was ok. Also don't expect much for the complimentary breakfast. That was very disappointing unless you enjoy one type of danish, plain croissant, and unsweetened cereal.

Long walk from hotel
Good eating places nearby if you have a car. CPK, cheesecake factory is one street over but would probably need a car unless you are open to a long walk. IHOP Denny's and tony Roma's is a short walk away

Location, Location, Location!
We have stayed at this property several times before, due to its proximity to Disneyland. Basically, you just walk across the street, and continue walking, and a short while later (perhaps 10 minutes or less), you are at the entrance gates to the parks. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly and welcoming. There is a continental breakfast served each morning in their "hospitality room", which offers pastries, cereal, some fruit, and of course, coffee and tea. If one stays here, you don't need to use your car to get to the parks, just leave it parked at the hotel, and save your aggravation. Parking used to be complimentary, but now there is a 9.00/day charge, which prompted my "value" setting to lower to average, or ordinary.

Steps to Park, Practicality & Cleanlines
Everything went very smooth, from confirmation of reservation to our early check in request. I have stayed here before, about a year ago and they have since done some upgrades to the rooms. Gone are the old picture tube T.V.'s and in are the new lcd tv's. A nice addition. The linens were always clean and the cleaning staff prompt to get the rooms done early so that when you came back for afternoon break the room was great. When we went the weather was cold and rainy for a couple days but the heater worked great. There is a pool and a hot tub, didn't get a chance to enjoy those as we were too busy at the parks and just crashed when we got home. Its great having a microwave and a fridge for snacks. however our fridge kept freezing even on the minimum setting. (nothing a little warm water won't solve)The best asset is the proximity to the park a 2 minute walk to the front entrance. There are 5-6 hotels in the same great area.(Carousel, Camelot, Marriott Main-Gate, Buena Vista, Best Western, & Tropicana) We chose camelot because 1. There is Free parking (no valet! like some of the neighbor hotels have or charge for parking) This saves alot on the overall bill. 2. Its a great price and no hidden charges for water and other food items. 3. Clean and great reviews. 4. Been there before and I tend to go back to a good thing. 5. Location location location!.. you can find cheaper or higher star rating hotels but not this close. The last thing you want to do at 8pm after walking 10 miles is wait 15 minutes for a shuttle. We were home within 10 minutes from mainstreet disneyland. A great value and a fabulous hotel.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
If you are taking a family and considering a disney shuttle bus from the airport. look into cheap rental cars as well.. this works great for couples or family's of 4. As the roundtrip shuttle can cost from $120 for 2 people fo $200 for 4 people round trip. Also you are stranded at your hotel. Sometimes it is nice to go and get a few snacks from the walmart or perhaps hit up the subway or chinese food place (1-2 miles away) The last thing you want to do is walk there when sore. This will save money on snack and food costs. Also a rental car can be found for around the same price if not cheaper than the shuttles and you get the ability to roam a bit. (this is very beneficial if you are planning on visiting other attractions like Universal, or doing some shopping!!.. check it out before you book the shuttle, sometimes you pay more sometimes less.

Hotel review Camelot Inn
Pretty good overall, but room had a smell and it did not go away even after I asked for a room freshner and neutralizer. Also, the wood closet was un-usable due to a strong odor inside. We could not afford to get our clothes "odorized" so we just used the hangers outside by the bathroom. Service was average but convenience to park was extraordinary.

I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!
We wanted a hotel close to Disneyland Resort without having to pay the Resort Style prices; and thats what we got with the Camelot Inn. We were in Disneyland's backyard, it was wonderful. Even if you weren't going to enjoy the park you could enjoy the firework spectacular from you room every night. This is the most affordable hotel for its location and its accomidation (we had 7 people in our party and we all fit perfectly in the two bedroom family suite). The only issue was an unpleasent smell that came from the AC unit one night. It only happened once and really was not a big issue. Soem complain of the nosie level at this hotel, you really have to remember that this is right across the street from Disneyland...there are going to be tons of kids, and with kids comes nosie. In fact, I welcomed the nosie it just brought more excitment to the anticipation of the next days visit to the Parks!!! I will be staying here during our next trip to Disneyland, I highly recommend this hotel.

This is one of my favorite hotels
This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Anaheim. Right across the road from Disneyland. Rooms are quite large. Offer continental breakfast which is cereal, donuts muufins juice but if this is not your cup of tea Downtown Disney is across the road or IHOP & Macdonalds approx two doors down. Always looks for a hotel that states arcoss the road from Disneyland than a block away as the blocks in the USA are quite big. Would definitely be returning.

Great Hotel for a Disneyland Vacation
Great staff. We arrived slightly early, but they checked us in and the rooms were great. We watched the Disneyland fireworks from our 5th floor room. Breakfast buffet only consisted of cold cereal, rolls, coffee & juice. We usually don't do breakfast buffets and really preferred breakfast at Carnation at Disneyland.
